Hassan's block was better
But I appreciate what Dwight is doing, shutting up any one who doubted he can still produce. He keeps this up he has an All-Defense and All-NBA season ahead of him.

Meh. Athletic defense and dunks is all Dwight has ever been. Call me when he hits a face up 15-foot jumper.

What kind of post is this? If that's not his game it's not his game, what you salty for?

That was a blatant foul. He basically punched him in the face right before blocking it

Not salty. He's never played for my team, so I don't care that he's never gotten better in the 12 years he's been in the league.
He's demanded that franchises bow to his demands but he's never put in the work to improve. Still no face up game. Very few post up moves. Terrible free throw shooter. For as "great" of a defender he is, he fouls a lot.
But by all means, keep ooohing and awing when he swats a guy 6 inches shorter than him.

Sorry man. That block that resulted in two free throws for the other team was great.
Feel better?

Al Horford and Jefferson both would have gotten dunked on.
Joakim Noah and Tyson Chandler would have caught flagrants.
The reality is every C should be able to do it but they can't.
Should I stop appluading Kobe's 60 points on 50 shots because every pro player should be able to do that? Nah, because the reality is they cant.

Horford, Jefferson, and Noah are not known as athletic shot blockers. Chandler was at one time but he's 1,000 years old now.
Athletic shot blocking and position rebounding is Dwight's bread and butter and is pretty much all he does well (hence my previous point). So why is this surprising?
Does Whiteside, Gobert, Deandre, KAT, AD, etc. etc. not do the same thing here? Or be expected to?

Hmm so the position you're taking is if a player excels at a certain skill, we should not be amazed at anything they do pertaining to that skill?
So if Curry hits 10 3s in a game, we should not be amazed? If LeBron has a 40 foot chase down block, we should not be amazed? That's interesting.

Comparing Curry hit 10's in a game to Dwight blocking a man 6 inches shorter than him with ease

You're acting as if that's a normal block. When my teammate catches a block in the air it still amazes me albeit he's 6'11. Your mans is arguing that he does it well so it's nothing to be amazed at.

Amazing, Amazing block.
But that -is- a foul.
He taps his face in mid air.
Still an awesome move.

Call me an old cranky bastard, but I don't think it is highlight worthy to make a play you are supposed to make. Dwight is way bigger than McDaniels, and Dwight was already at the hoop. If you are defending the rim, and a way shorter dude tries to dunk on you, you are supposed to deny him. That's why dunking over people is a highlight, because that's the play that isn't supposed to happen; if it does, it is because of special effort, talent, circumstance, etc.
You're not supposed to dunk on people 6 inches taller than you. You are supposed to swat people 6 inches shorter than you. Add to that the fact that when teams sign Howard, these are exactly the kind of plays they are expecting (and what makes him playable, because he is ass on the other end), then it makes it hard to justify as a noteworthy play.
Feel free to disagree.

I never mentioned anyone dunking on anyone but since you brought it up, you're telling me that blocks at the rim happen more than players getting dunked on? That is not true at all, dunks are highlight plays because offensive plays are always more revered plays than defensive plays. If LeBron had that chase down block and hit the game winning 3 to win the ring, you better believe the 3 would be the most played highlight.
If you think someone plays defense well at a professional level just because they're tall, I really doubt you and anyone else who agrees with that has never played the sport at a high level. With the amount of athleticism players hold, it requires more than height to just block someone at the rim. That thought is just asinine. Basketball "fans" just don't respect defense.
And lol @ the he's ass at offense comment. He's been able to average 18 points a game on his career, doesn't matter if you don't like the way he's doing it. If he's scoring and it's working than there's no way he's ass. He scored more per average than half the players you named.
