Go step on a Lego barefoot. The big red blocks. Not the small tiny ones.

Cousins for Melo + Lance Thomas. Throw in Lala to sweeten the deal with that honey nut flavor. Gonna need some forwards tho.

But no he isn't their best player. Atleast not yet.

That doesn't work either, 30m for 18m?? If its melo going then its Melo, baker, kuz, and lee for cousins, afflalo, and matt barnes

Sounds like a classic Knicks trade.

They should trade Melo and Rose for cap space/picks and rebuild around KP.

They need to build around KP. He's the real deal. His offensive game is so polished.

Melo is a ball stopper. He slows everything down. Doesn't move without the ball. Doesn't pass. Yeah he can score but that's it.

Rose is just a mediocre PG in today's game and his defense is atrocious.

I've been impressed by Derrick Rose's play as of late.

Not yet for a couple of reasons:

1. While Porzingis has worked on his lower body strength during the off season, his upper body remains a work in progress. He might not be ready to carry the team for 82 games.
2. The veterans on the team like Melo and Rose are proven guys, even if they are no longer as good as he is. That's why they remain higher in the pecking order.
3. Knicks are trying to win now and that comes at a price - ignore the best guy by force feeding Melo and have Rose chuck. If this was a different team from a smaller market, Porzingis would've gotten the green light by now.

This will be KP's team next year. Needs to get smarter on defense, but everything is coming along smoothly. I believe Melo's No Trade clause is finished now, so it's only a matter of time.

Nope....he still has 2yrs left after this season.

The ongoing saga of the New York Knicks, Carmelo Anthony and a franchise that is building in a direction divergent from its star player's aspirations continues, as New York's star continues to express no wiggle room regarding his no-trade clause.

At a tech summit Wednesday, Anthony was speaking on behalf his production company (which has a part investment in the latest "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" film) and was asked about where he might be in the future by moderator Yahoo Finance: Anthony assured he would be with the Knicks next season in an interview with Yahoo! Finance on Wednesday afternoon. He has a no-trade clause in his contract and would have to waive it to leave the Knicks. Anthony has three years remaining on his contract.

"You'll see me here," Anthony said. "For the Knicks, absolutely."

Porzingis is supposed to have Gasol's role in the triangle, but he's not a good passer, doesn't establish position in the post because he isnt strong enough and has a lot to learn about the game still.

Defensively hes a good rim protector, but lacks mobility outside of the post. And his rebounding is not good enough this season. 6 rpg is weak. He also makes unnecessary fouls.

In short, no hes not there yet. So far hes been average considering everything. Rose is the best player on the team even though he himself doesn't believe that and keeps defering.
