Nick Young for me. Dude looked ready for the CBA player last year but wow Luke Walton and a new year without Byron has got this man playing like an allstar. Playing defense I have never seen him play with his silky smooth shot back in action. Early in the season but if he can turn it around, can he get MIP? Even though he just had a really bad season (2 seasons basically).

Celtics Defense.
Not in a million years I'd think they would be 29th after 6 games.
Also Derozen's Start and Lakers being 4-3.

Also Julius Randle playing like this. Didnt expect him to turn it around so quickly. Defense came out of no where.

Clippers having the league's best defense and being 5-1 despite a mediocre offense.
Julius Randle finally playing like I've thought he could.
Utah's struggles despite injuries
Suns laying a big goose egg basically. Same with the Pels

How Mike D'Antoni-ish the Celtic's defense looks. I know we have injuries, but damn, seems like the Red Sea is parting when people drive to the rim on us.

Nick Young. I called him the worst player in the NBA last year. He was.
Lakers though not THAT big of a surprise since I knew they would be better after getting rid of Kobe and Byron. But man they have surprised me big time. Small game sample but I don't think it's a fluke. They really seem to have good chemistry and they just plain out hustle the other team.
Some nights the shots don't fall. But you can count on hustle every single time.

As crazy as it sounds, he was last year too.
For me it's DeRozan averaging 33ppg. He's been a beast without having a legit 3pt shot. He knows where he needs to go to be efficient and is awesome at getting to those spots.

Honestly what were the expectations for the Suns?

Honestly what were the expectations for the Suns?
It isn't really about the expectations, it's about the way they've been laying duds. Outside of pushing Golden State to the brink, they have been quite lackadaisical.
At the same time, I'm glad they are stinking it up. Will make tickets cheaper
