sure it's early, but he's been rock solid beginning with the preseason and is showing no signs of letting up.

trevor is averaging near a double-double on 49% shooting, 90% FT's, 1 block, 2 steals per game and a PER of about 19. he's become the nets leader in hustle plays and is reportedly the most popular teammate along with brook lopez.

Nice flex from his Jazz days

SPLITS GP MPG FG% RPG APG BLKPG STPG PFPG PPG

he's been a big part of why the nets have been surprisingly competitive even in the first year of a complete rebuild. trevor's not cheap at $9mil/yr on a 2-yr contract, but he's been worth every penny. utah, we owe you one!

Yes he is. A career 6ppg/5rpg player who's turning 29 years old later this month.

not happening, sorry.

the transformation has been a huge success so far, and the team is already playing better than last year... even with a bunch of young players learning a new system.

stay salty, holmes.

i'm being thankful for a pretty random pickup who's made a big impact for a team that was supposed to be the NBA's worst this year. his stats and his PER are very respectable, not even counting his overall defense and leadership.

sometimes sports isn't about the stat leaders and the big-time scorers. sometimes it's about the underrated glue guys who help teams in a big-time way. so far this year, trevor booker has been one of them.

problem...?

Love Booker but he's ideally a 5th or 6th big. Energy guy.

just for fun i took a look, and it sure doesn't seem like it:

SEASON TEAM GP GS MIN FGM-A FG% 3PM-A 3P% FTM-A FT% OR DR REB AST BLK STL PF TO PTS PER
'16-'17 PHX 6 6 37.0 8.5-19 .443 1.7-5.2 .323 4.3-5.5 .788 0.5 2.5 3.0 3.0 0.2 0.3 3.3 3.0 23.0 14.52

unremarkable or low stats in every category but points, and that's averaging 10+min more than trevor.

his player efficiency rating is also way lower at 14.5... probably one of the lowest for starters in the league. unless he plays amazing defense (.3 steals for a guard, lol), he sounds like nothing much but a chucker.

trevor clearly > devin.

His play isn't "amazing" it's just that no one expected anything from him. It's not like he's helping out with that 2-4 record.

actually, he is.

other than a blowout loss to the bulls, the nets have been competitive, even dangerous, in every game. and he's been a big part of that.

Didn't realize playing dangerous gets you a 2-4 record, where your most hyped player is putting up 10/9.

no problem, i don't mind correcting your mistaken thinking.

also, who called booker our most hyped player...?

jeremy lin is easily our most hyped player right now. i don't think anyone is 'hyping' booker. in this thread i am giving thanks for him exceeding expectations and doing a great job for us.

Unfortunately your team has no franchise player and will continue to be mediocre for another decade.

We drafted him. He is really a freak athlete and plays within himself on offense.

He will make some hustle plays on D but overall his D was a major problem. He lacked basic awareness. Many times he would just stand and watch guys come down the lane and shoot a layup without even trying to stop the ball.

Wasn't that good at man D either but his team D was really awful.
