Lebron, when asked about which individual game records matter:
"Well, Scott Skiles, what'd he have, 31? (30) Thirty assists, in Orlando, that's pretty daggon good. Kobe (Bryant's) 81. I didn't see Wilt (Chamberlain). I didn't see it. Kobe's 81, I saw that. Steph (Curry's) 13 3s last night, he'd probably be the one to break it. Or one of those guys, KD (Kevin Durant) or Klay (Thompson) could break that. I don't know man. It's great to be able to know about the history and just to see the individual talents that have played this game."

Like all things about Wilt, it was likely exaggerated. Dude prolly had like 40 points and they rounded up

Wilt had a 78 pt 43 rb game that same season against the Lakers.
Makes you wonder what he would have averaged if his team had gotten past the Celtics in game 7.

LeBron is so media trained. His interviews always sounds the same.

18 ppg
Sure.
In that season, and in 10 regular season H2H's with Russell, Chamberlain averaged 40 ppg. In the EDF's his scoring "declined" against Russell all the way down to... 34 ppg.
In that same season, Chamberlain averaged 52 ppg against the Lakers in his regular season H2H's...which included three games of 60+, and that 78-43 game.
So, using that massive decline that he against Russell in the playoffs...let's assume that Wilt would have "declined" just as much against the Lakers in the Finals...or say a 6-7 ppg drop.
Or... 45-46 ppg.
In the decade of the 60's Wilt had FOUR SEASONS against the Lakers, covering between 8-13 H2H's in each, of 41, 44, 48, and 52 ppg.
Overall, he faced the Lakers in 86 games in the decade, and had 42 games of 40+, which included 19 of 50+, 7 of 60+, and 3 of 70+.
And yet, he never faced them in even one single playoff game in that decade.
