Honestly smoke, how dumb are you?

Rings as the man is the most valuable. Meanwhile bran settles for mvps thus the statpadding. But when he realizes hes still a loser in the eyes of alphas, he colluded. But that made him more of a loser. Coz no alphas would respect cowards like him.

lol...Chris Paul did deserve that MVP. That was the greatest season by a PG not named Magic Johnson. Paul led the Hornets to one less win than the Lakers, while having a worse team...he was clearly the MVP of the 2008 season.

Media still hated him after rape trial so he stood no chance in 2006 and 2007. Media was enamoured with Nash, and the Suns run and gun style. Needed a few years to repair his image. Thus finally getting it in 2008. In a season with some mighty competitiom from CP3, LeBron, and KG.

He also stood no chance because his teams won 45 & 42 games those seasons, and with the criteria the media uses to vote for MVP he had absolutely no chance of winning MVP

Because they are entertained by it.

Kobe stans and Kobe haters LOVE discussion Kobe Bryant, either how good he is or how bad he is. They can literally do it all day, no problem, it's second nature for them. For the most part, this group of stans and haters are unemployed, therefore devoting their time to tediously and continually discuss Kobe Bryant even after he has retired is not a big problem, they don't have anything else to be doing.

I personally don't have the patience. I don't like Lebron so I don't think about him...but these guys have so much hate for Kobe, they keep thinking about him over and over, what they can say about it or what his shortcomings are.

It's annoying af, but that's ISH. I like being here for Lakers games though, we got a pretty group that watches the games. Although we always have 3-4 Kobe haters come in and bring some negativity. Smoke117 is religiously devoted to stopping by every night the Lakers play :oldlol:

Yup all of that on top of Kobe era was amazing for great players like Duncan, Wade, Dirk, Nash, Shaq, KG. It's hard to be MVP year in and out when you have elite HOF players playing during their prime and peak. OP how come Shaq and Hakeem only have one MVP each? Yeah they must be overrated too.

played almost half of his career with another MVP candidate who also has 1 MVP in 19 seasons (a guy called "MDE" only has 1 MVP to his name?)

spent his prime years on a rebuilding team

MVP doesn't = best individual player in the game

No killer instinct. He had more of a chucking instinct.
When things got tough, Kobe decided to chuck.
That's not an MVP. He's is very lucky to have 1.

It's just a regular season MVP. Shaq was lazy, he uses the regular season to get in shape and be ready when it matters. And true, MVP usually goes to the individual that exceeded the expectations the most in that season while his team is winning. The accolade is more of a media driven award that goes to whoever had the best story. It's rarely about the best player.

Kobe deserves at least 6 MVPs, and 7 if the judges had any humanity left in them.

1996-2002: wasn't that good yet. maybe in 2001 but an MVP that's not even the best on his own team?'
2003: Duncan had an historical season and the Lakers only won 50 games
2004 and 2005 weren't the best years for Kobe
2006 and 2007 the Lakers didn't win enough regular season games
2009 and 2010 had LeBron carrying a mediocre team to 60+ wins each of those years

In fairness, how many players in the history of the NBA would be 'the best player' on a team with 2001 Shaq? I'd be hesitant to take anyone, even someone like prime MJ, just because of the sheer havoc Shaq caused. He literally was capable of depleting your entire frontline because the only method of defense was using up a ton of fouls and putting him on the line.

I don't like kobe but that was his MVP

The Lakers had the best record in the west right before Bynum went down and gasol was in a Lakers jersey in 27 of those regular season games. Tyson Chandler, David West, and Peja were great pieces to have around a star player. Odom and Bynum were better u think? Bynum and Gasol never been on the court together. But the Lakers had a huge coaching advantage over the Hornets i'll give u that
