At the very least he's part of the problem.

Yup.
But that does not mean removing him is the fix, or the best one.
My thoughts is that the Carmelo thing didn't pan out.
Teams with less talent did better then the Knicks in the last few years.

Look at the coaching fiascoes he has endured. Every time he hires/fires a head coach he is setting the team back a couple of years.

This.
Melo is not a Jackson type of player, and he got lumbered with him and his no trade clause.
Melo has said the right things and tried to change his game, but it's not gonna happen. This being said, I still need to see a few more games. A win tonight could right the ship.
I don't understand why the brain tanks in here never lay the blame on Steve "teflon" Mills, who has helped stink up this franchise since 2003. Jax wanted him removed from team decision making, which Jimmy shot down.

Like who? The pistons were the 8 seed and have way more talent than knicks did last year. I mean a 20 year old rookie was their 2nd best player and that is sad. Knicks had basically a d-league team the year b4 that. The year before that was just bad luck. Melo balled out but had no help cause everyone was getting injured and declining.

Overall Phill has done a good job. For the first time in a decade we actually have a legitimate franchise player (GOATzingis) that we can actually build around. He inherited an awful roster with no assets what so ever..
I hope we tank so hard so we can land a top 5 pick to pair up with him. Hopefully, by midseason we're in a top 5 spot and we decide to trade Melo for assets and trade some other older players for w/e we can get. Example, trade Melo for Jaylen Brown, land a top 3 pick and you got a core... Better doing this than fighting for an 8th seed where we'll get crushed by Cleveland.

Its remarks like this that have put Knicks and most NY teams in fast food contenders
I would be absolutely delighted in the Knicks miss the playoffs and miss it BADLY for the next 2 years
Build through the draft, get some young franchise guards in here that the NY kids will love, and lets get these fellas to make the playoffs consistenly for a decade
Im tired of these fast food teams
