He's the most skilled rapper of all time but rap is filled with talentless bums

Em's competition is tremendously weak, there a very few intelligent rappers who have real musical talent

If we're comparing white rappers Matlock is 1000x better:

Matlock - Moonshine (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxt1XYTfn6w)

Matlock - Northside Die Hard (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SshFFdZXrA)

Matlock & Mr. Green - The Wax Museum EP (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faMvz0wo6ZU&t=867s)

:dancin

So is R.A. the Rugged Man for that matter.

Em is legit I always thought 2pac was insanely overrated

I think its an absolute joke when people try to say hes the greatest ever

Maybe its my love for biggie or its my east coast bias

Em's not even top 5, he had one good album then a few good features inbetween, he fell off after he stopped using drugs.

Ofcourse you'd think em is the best tho, You know nothing about the culture http://www.thecoli.com/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/mjlol.png

Pac was a better actor than he was rapper. If he were still alive today I bet he would of stopped making albums a while ago and really focused on his acting career.

Eminem is easily top 5 best rappers of all time. It's hard to compare to other people like BIG and Andre 3K because each rapper has their unique style.

But Eminem's work outside of his studio albums speak for itself. He is a wizard with his word play and has crazy delivery.

He is the only rapper that N O B O D Y will come after.

It took my quite awhile to open up to Eminem. Sure, SSLP was good, but too much filler / lame attempt at pop-rap to really be considered a "classic" ... MMLP was a step in the right direction with a darker more rap-prone element to it, but IMO, not a sure-shot classic. The Eminem Show was very well produced, lyrically elite, and perhaps his closest to an actually classic album.

Most look down on Encore, understandably, but it grew on me. Relapse was a total hit-or-miss LP. Recovery to me, is my favorite album from Em. Haven't heard MMLP2 besides a few well-known tracks. It was pleasing to my hear to hear Em give a shoutout to Kool Keith on the Monster track at the end of the first verse.

Skill / talent wise, he's pretty close to the top. However, over the course of his career he's attempted to appeal to a lame crowd with his whack pop-diss material. Bottom-line, he's an elite technical rapper with superb lyrical ability... dude just doesn't have what many white rappers don't possess... soul.

Someone mentioned RA Rugged Man ... have to say he's probably my favorite white rapper. His verse on JMT's Uncommon Valor is one of the best in rap's history.
