Very happy for JR. I remember scouting him hard while at Kentucky, wanting the Lakers to draft him and expecting him to blossom into a very good pro. Now, it seems like this is all materializing. There is just no denying his raw talents, which trumps all when one is motivated, and this guy definitely is. He's got a lot of dog in him. Not that fake dog stuff but real dog stuff. He brings it.

I didn't get DLo wrong. Of course, if you're a DLo hugger (which you are) and you see another person saying his ceiling is limited but don't take the time to read his detailed analysis, you'll automatically assume this guy is a "hater" and anytime DLo plays well, this guy got it "wrong."
I still stand by what I said. His ceiling is limited. I always said his shot looked right. But what I did get wrong was I didn't know he had a great mid-range game off the P&R. Nor his back to the basket game. Nor that his release/touch can be elite when he's on. So I underestimated his scoring skills.
But still doesn't change the fact that for the 3-4 good games he's had this season, he's had about 7-8 where his impact was non-existent when his shot wasn't falling because his lack of athleticism limits his impact.

Pull away. I know what I said. Just don't take my words out of context.

What a beast of a steal in the draft, people freaked out when he got injured and missed all but 10 minutes of his rookie season but anyone who did their homework knew he was #2 after Wiggins in the draft at the time (with Embiid injured of course)

It still baffles me how the Laker organization didn't see his heavy feet after several workouts. I just can't comprehend it actually. Having quickness and light feet is essential for a PG.
And on the flip side, Okafor had two traits that you can't teach for a big and that is light feet and touch. Not to mention his solid feel for the game and post game.
Yes, Okafor has a much higher ceiling
So wrong in all contexts.

I still stand by what I said above. Okafor is going to be a good one. His problem is, he was born 20 years too late. His D on the perimeter is a liability today. But his offensive game is all that.
Like I said, you can't just look at DLo's good games and ignore his bad games. That's called being biased and not objective. For every good game he has shooting the ball, he seems to have 2 bad ones where he doesn't impact the game.

I never said he had bad games. However you kept talking about how his slow feet and heavy feet is SO bad. You said hes a liability on defense and cant drive in with his HEAVY feet. All false. He's 20 and working on it. Not a liability on defense either and can clearly beat his man.
