The Wizards aren't going to make any big deals. The owner and GM are delusional fools. They actually believe they are making good moves but are just the victims of bad luck.
Grunfeld is completely incompetent but he must be really good at sucking up to the owner.

Would help if Wall wasn't such a selfish, salty little b*tch and cancerous team mate

Wizards don't have the pieces to acquire Cousins.
It's more likely that they end up dumping Wall for some of the Kings big men youth (Skal + Papa + First) than this.

Any chance John Wall gets moved if this continues? Sounds highly unlikely based on your analysis in the above quote.
Not that I think they should, mind you. But, if they just wanted to completely blow it up and start over, he's obviously worth quite a bit.

The only way Wall gets traded is if they fire the GM. There is absolutely no chance Grunfeld will trade Wall. That would be admitting he failed in his attempt to build around Wall.
The Wizards will never be good until Grunfeld is gone. I don't know what it would take to get him fired. He should have been fired years ago but apparently has compromising photos of the owner.

I say Wizards should kepp Wall.
He's a top 10 Pointguard, and blowing it up won't do them any good. Wall is close to his prime, no reason to give up on him.
I say dump Beal/Picks/Whatever starter occupies the position of the star they are trading for. (Cousins?/Klay anyone?)
Or just stick through it and aim for a high pick this year.

I'm pretty sure the rules don't let us trade Beal right after resigning him, and Otto is about to be a RFA. Nobody wants Beal right now because of his injuries. He's just going to turn into an Eric Gordon who can rebound :facepalm I'm ****ing dying here.
We are truly ****ed :facepalm

Wall needs to sign elsewhere as FA. I'd like him as part of the new Spurs core eventually. Wall/Kawhi/Aldridge.

I just googled it, it's actually a rule that only applies FA's signed in the offseason, and you can't trade them for 3 months.
theoretically we could trade Beal...but i don't think his name is hot enough right now to get anything that moves the needle.
Otto has played well though. Bright spot. The league is short on all-around wing guys right now. He's a valuable chip.

Worst case man,
You guys get a top 14 pick.
(Your pick is yours right?)
You draft a young buck, a center or something.
You could always luck into a high pick in the draft,
I'd trade Beal on draft night+ whatever pick, the higher the better, and try to get a big name.
Honestly I just don't like Beal and Wall. Beal is the most overrated SG in the league imo, has done nothing of worth to earn that paycheck, while Wall is playing his ass off.

We do have our pick. This draft seems to be deep in point guards though :/
Beal is overrated at this point. He's an excellent shooter, but his handle and off ball game aren't to the level where he can get those shots consistently. His D hasn't been good for an entire season either.
Gortat ia a good PnR finisher. That's really the only area he excels. Average team D and rebounding. Poor 1-on-1 D in the post.
Otto is a great glue guy. Good shooter, crazy good at positioning himself. Gets easy buckets and offensive rebounds because he just knows where to be.
These are our assets right now. I dont this is enough to swing a star in a trade.

Then you put your eggs in the continuity basket, bud.
That can always happen.
We've seen teams with no major change turn things around on chemistry and experience alone.

It does happen, but somehow it seems like it's going backwards for us. This is Wall and Beal's 5th season together. Gortat is 5-6, and Otto is in his 4th.
I guess letting the bench settle and gel would help, but our starters are still getting beat
