Well, that may not be a problem for him in China, where he recently signed with the Sichuan Blue Whales. American stars have green light to shoot in the CBA and Smith made that clear in his second game there taking 18 three-pointers and making seven. That’s 38.9 percent from beyond the arc, which is way better than his NBA average (28.5 percent).

For the record, he finished the game with 41 points, 19 rebounds, five blocks and a loss vs. Yi Jianlian‘s Guangdong.

Josh Smiths fall from being one of the better players in the league to garbage was sudden...and pathetic. It showed how clearly this guys game was built on athleticism and not actual basketball skill. That and his lack of effort pretty much destroyed his career. When he started getting lazy and taking jumpers instead of going inside it was annoying...when he stopped playing defense? He became a black hole.
