Especially when he gave washed up Noah 75 million and in the process bumped their franchise cornerstone out of his natural position.

Rolo is the epitome of average. Nothing special about him at all.

Is it? Noah is a better passer, rebounder, and a more versatile defender. Rolo is only better at scoring by a little and inside d.
Im curious to know what stat puts Lopez "multiple tiers" above Noah.

Noah's terrible..Knicks are terrible, lost to Washington..who are also terrible. Enjoy the Noah contract.

Rolo is basically doubling Noah up scoring wise while being more efficient too. It may be only like 4ppg but considering that neither score a lot, it's a huge difference. You can bring up the versatility but at this stage, Rolo is a better defender than Noah(Bulls being 9th while Knicks being 30th in drtg just helps my case). Finally, let's wait and see if Noah can even last a whole season.

Butler and Gibson are the reason the bulls have a good defense. And no Lopez has not been more efficient, they are both shooting 45% and no 3's. On top of that Noah triples Lopez in assists. So that makes up for any small scoring difference between them.

47 ts% to 44ts% is not meaningless so yes Lopez is more efficient. Stop with this pick and choosing bullshit. If 9.3ppg to 4.5ppg is a "small scoring difference", then 3.6 assists to 0.8 assists is small too. I never said Lopez was the best defender on the Bulls and you named the guys better than him. Rolo is a much better rim protector at this stage of his career and the Knicks being last in defense does not say good things at all about Noah's defensive impact so far. Saw a guy on reddit say that opponents are shooting 57.3% at the rim when he's in the game, and 50.8% in the paint and that is just awful for a big man.

Actually its 45% to 44% both are terribly inefficient. Knicks defense as a whole just isn't on a string yet. Noah looks good in there when he is in position. It's just chaos right now. And other teams just seem unusually hot when they play the knicks hitting shots they normally don't make. It will all balance out.

Either way we are talking about a center shooting 43% from the field which is downright ugly and you are reaching trying to say he's good in order to make the knicks look bad for the trade.

It isn't about Rolo, it is about the contracts.
