Jordan is the GOAT?

In other News:
Water is wet.

Come on man, can we stop opening threads about things that are obvious?

Let's just enjoy the talent in the league right now.
We're witnessing some of the most amazing players to play the game.

I'm sure he wishes he made a game 7 when he was busy going 1-9.

Bob Cousy, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, won six championships each as well. :confusedshrug:

Chamberlain scored 70+ pts 6 times! 6 different times!!!

Jordan's scrawny ass never did it once. There are 700+ rings, less than a dozen 70 point games. Something to think about.

Chamberlain also won 2 championships in 15 seasons, in at least 11-12 of which he was the 'Best player in the world.'

He won MVP his rookie season.

Nonsense.. Just think - there's like 2-3 guys averaging about 30/10/10, and they aren't anywhere near Jordan.

If James Haren can get 30/8/13, then Jordan would get 40+ just like everyone said he would in today's spaced-out, non-physical league with LEAGUE-MANDATED hands-off perimeter defense (no hand-checking) and also defensive 3 seconds.

And again - I'm going to post my 40-year old ass doing a dunk that Dr. J never did in his entire career.. But it will be an ode TO dr. j that will clearly demonstrate how crazy he'd be in today's game - guys like Westbrick and Haren can't hold a candle to him, Jordan and many other players from previous eras.

All hypothetical. The thing is Ordan fans can only live in the past and speculate while everyone else can enjoy the present NBA and FACTS.

No one who watches basketball thinks Westbrook and Harden hold a candle to Jordan or Dr. J

If those guys can average 30 point triple doubles, than Jordan could average 40 or 50, which is what everyone says he would do with today's spacing and no hand-checking anyway.

speculation and assumptions. you can't base a players potential production on another players production. doesn't work like that.

actually, that's exactly how it works - it's called comparables - they're used in real estate and finance to determine the value of a building or company.

in this case, westbrook is 3 inches shorter than Jordan with less hops, strength, smarts and shooting ability.

let's not even talk about harden.. he's actually a much better example - if that slow, fat, no-D playing fool can get 30/8/13, than Jordan could get 45/8/13

again, comparables - it's the best way to evaluate this kind of thing

This isn't the housing industry. Besides you are comparing apples to oranges. Not comparables. gtfo.

Do the stats (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showpost.php?p=12679667&postcount=37) show that they won their first 3 rings by averaging 25% more scoring than Lebron did for his 3 rings, with equal assists, while being the best defender ever at their position?.. :confusedshrug:

I'll wait for your answer..

People also wanna act like the Cavs were never a play-off caliber team before Lebron. Cavs been a play-off team ever since the mid 70s when they had Austin Carr, Jim Chones, and Campy Russell.

MiseryCityTexas in full meltdown mode. Tell us why you hate MJ? Did he routinely destroy your team's in the playoffs or do you stan another player and can't accept MJ's God level status?

Why would someone honor him when they've never seen him play and can talk about how successful lebron has been in the playoffs.

/sarcasm

It really is amazing when you look at how GOAT MJ was in comparison to anyone else that has played. Lebron may pass KAJ if he can beat a team with 5 all-stars but to talk up Lebron's playoff success like it means anything (common theme on ISH) just reaks of insecurity and sadness by someone that never witnessed true GOAT MJ play.

These poor little fellas sat at their dinner table many times listening to their dad, older brothers, and grandfather talk about how GOAT MJ was and they felt left out so they come on ISH to vent their frustration over never having witnessed the GOAT MJ. Watching them get triggered and manipulated by posters like 3ball is comical. Only when they realize their place on the pecking order will they find true peace.
