Can you believe Scott Brooks had James coming off the bench over Thabo Sefolosha

Especially if they had a rim protector and mid range specialist like Serge Ibaka. That team would be off the chain.

Would be the best team ever...by far.

Could you imagine if he had beat them if any of them were in their prime?

They'd be impossible to beat in the finals.

Couldn't be done!

LeBron would find a way.

Harden wouldn't show up, Westbrook would try to draw a foul from 3 and end up turning over the ball, and Durant would play passive.

He'd collude with enough stars to do it.

Sure...the defense would not be good, they wouldn't be able to play their optimal styles, there would be constant controversy about who should have the ball late in games, and...most importantly...due to the salary cap situation and owners...the rest of the team would be terrible.

They'd lose to the Warriors, Spurs, or Cavs...

I'm going to have to respectfully disagree DMAVs

It was clearly working, and only going to get better with time

Harden and Durant are both fantastic shooters, specifically off the ball

We don't see that aspect of Harden's game in Houston, but the number show he is a very good catch and shoot player

The Westbrook-Durant-Harden 3 man lineup was very good in 2012. Imagine how much better it would be now, given not only have all players gotten better.. They've all become dramatically better facilitators (Check assist total improvements)

This isn't that same young Westbrook that danced between 5-7 assists.. This is the Westbrook that gets double digit assists nightly

Same for Harden

These guys make the right pass

Agreed. Had they been able to keep the team together, they would of ruled the west for a long time.

lol.. I dunno about the Cavs, could they beat LeBron? Not sure.

Plus dude, there wouldnt even be any close late game situations.. and if they were, who gives af at who has the ball? Pretty sure they wont.. everyone gets their shot

Can you believe there is only one rubber ball on the court at a time?

If you took Lebron, Wade, and Bosh's prime stats, it wouldn't look much different then what those 3 had.

People act like they weren't really good in 2012 lol.

Who even knows how they could've developed their games around each other. They had one prime year together, then it was over.

Im so nba'd out

Just imagine if they had backup point guard who also is a franchise level player who could get max money like a reggie jackson or something

they were a great team coached by a bad coach. Front office was wrong in deciding they didn't fit each other rather than correctly pinpointing the real problem: Scott Brooks.

I still cant believe, the Mavs beat them in 2011, that Dallas run was truly a story book finish.

Lol at blaming Scott Brooks. Like most if not all young teams, they just needed a few times through the deeper rounds of the playoffs to learn how to advance and then win. They'd have 2 rings easy by now

The reason why they got better is they no longer play with each other.

Do you honestly think they'd each be playing anywhere near that level of production if they were all together? Durant seems like he's basically good for 28ppg no matter what, whether it be with Westbrook dominating the ball or in the Warriors offense surrounded by more offensive options. Westbrook wasn't putting up these numbers with Durant, so he sure as hell ain't doing that with Harden there as well in the backcourt. And Harden isn't putting up those gaudy assist numbers either( or scoring), he's not going to have nearly the same usage level to do what he's doing now. These three, quite simply, would not work at their present levels. They are better individually than collectively.
