When I was 15.

My stepdad, or whatever you want to call the nut job, gave me free reign to clonazepam and I took a bunch. Next thing you know, i'm taking my mom's car, my sister's big diamond ring, and I head 3 hours away to visit my friend.

I gave the ring to my friend and he sold it at a pawn shop for 400 dollars.

Anyhow, it's been a long time, but I obviously feel like she doesn't like me. I take the kids to visit her about once a month, but I won't feel right until I give her two thousand dollars. I gave her a 100 dollar bill a few weeks ago and she started to cry because it was the first time I acknowledged my wrongdoing.

Hopefully thanksgiving at her house isn't awkward.

That should be $2000 plus interest.
