Who would you take at this point?

Wiggins started the season hot, but I would say Jabari is the better shooter by a comfortable margin. Wiggins is more athletic and a better iso player probably. Neither is a great defender at this point. Close call imo.

I think both teams are happy with who they have.

Wiggins is a good defender. When he was drafted by the Cavs his defense was talked about more than his offensive game in positivity.

As far as shooting that'd hard to say right now. The last two years I would've said Parker easily, but if you check their ranges Wiggins is shooting 41% from three taking almost five and a half shots from game there. While Parker is shooting 36% from three taking about 3 shots a game from that range. The problem for Parker is anything 3-10 feet out he can't hit. He's shooting like below 20% from that range. He either has to be within 3 feet or out beyond 16 feet.

Personally I'll take Wiggins. The future of the league is guards like him. While Parker is a more polished scorer to me, I think Wiggins athleticism which is something you can't teach to someone will help him excel in being a better player defensively and offensively. All he has to do is simply work on his craft and keep in shape. Kawhi Leonard is a great example. Leonard was decently athletic coming out of college, was better known defensively. He has a freakish wing-span and hand size, and he worked on his game and has improved every single season he's been in the league.

Sorry, let me rephrase. He has the tools to be a good defender. He just needs to put in the effort.

If defense only relied on tools, we would just draft the most athletic wing every draft. Wiggins is a horribad defender right now. Sure, he has the tools, but until he can play defense at even a below average level, he is a horrible defender.

He needs to put more effort in a lot of things...all he has cared about since he came into the league is scoring. His rebounding is absolutely pathetic for a guy his size, he's not a good playmaker/passer, and he plays no defense. The league has seen its share of SF's who scored and did nothing else...he's looking like one right now. I disagree with people who say defense is just effort though...a lot of it also has to do with having a high basketball IQ and knowing where to be at all times.

Jabari is so much smoother in everything he does.

The day y'all realize that athleticism and good defense are not synonymous will be a beautiful day.

the post order was funny, your post was spot on. wiggins is lacking the heart, the fundamentals and the intelligence to be a plus defender. That love for wiggins trade was so underrated tbh ..

:applause: Not doubting Wiggins but KAT has to be the main guy for the Wolves. Wiggy's game has some serious flaws you cannot surround a team around with.

Wiggins by quite a bit. He came in raw (according to pundits) and has gone from 17-21-25ppg (approximately). Thibs has told him to take control and he has had monster games. his averages might be higher had he not had a mini-slump before last game. He also plays a ton of minutes and never seems to tire. I think part of the 'lack of desire' argument (which I do not subscribe to is nonsense, effort is a horseshit excuse that demands the premise that one guy doesn't put in effort. People who don't try sit in the NBA or coaches hate them, and Wiggins has been quite well liked by all his coaches) is that he is young and playing his role, biding his time.

Parker is a nice piece but he will be dealt if Giannis continues to improve. Both have teammates who may overshadow them, but I like Wiggins chances of being go-to more than Parker's, despite the love of KAT, who is also totally awesome.

Good question, good situation for both teams, hopefully one migrates to SoCal for their next contract.

LOL at the Randle talk, he is nice but not that nice.
