I was about to bring up how he's never mentioned here in best in game dunker talks.

He really knew how to finish his dunks. None of that weak "throwing" without touching iron. And he had flair to boot.

Because most of ISH users started watching NBA last week.
Sonics Kemp is my favorite in-game dunker of all time, he was like a bigger Dominique Wilkins (you know, explosive forward with power, finesse, speed & epic two foot takeof) but with more flair & funk+taunting afterwards.

It's so weird to see him in his prime in a Cavs uniform. And to see Big Z with hair getting elbowed in the face on the dunk at 1:39.

Yeah you usually don't think of Kemp outside a Sonics jersey unless it's fat Kemp.

My favorite Kemp dunk of all time:

If he did that in today's ***** ass league where feelings are easily hurt, he would have gotten a technical.

God damn. He dunked so hard on Chris Gatling at 10:15 that Gatling acknowledges it and give him a handshake to say, "Yep, you dunked that shit hard on me bruh." :oldlol:
And in these clips Kemp hard a knack of making one of the greatest shot-blockers in NBA history in Mutombo look like his bitch.
Lambier getting his shit pushed in was great.

I love this shit. This is what made fans of the game... The showmanship. You don't get away with this shit anymore, which is garbage. Imagine having a guy like this today, you'd turn on your cousin/brother or whoever, on your 7 foot hoop, and be all "KEEEEEEMPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!". Lol. Kids these days too busy shooting from miles away and saying "Curry!!". Pff. The generations have turned into a bunch of kids that want to take the long shots, the fade-aways, and not learn the fundamentals.
If someone in this day's game did just one of those face to face smashes on someone, the fans would lose their damn marbles.

I LOVE THIS PLAY. I mean, it epitomizes how much more mentally strong players were back then.
Gatling gets the big block, Kemp gets the ball and dunks on him, stares him down...Gatling acknowledges it...they shake hands. It's like two fighters going toe to toe and then having more respect for each other in the end.
That would NOT happen in today's game with today's superstars. Too many pride filled prima donnas who only care about their appearances.

Lmao idiots used to say that Amare was a better player than Kemp. Kemp was still a superstar caliber player even when he was fat and out of shape.

That jam at 10:43 vs the Knicks was the first time I'd ever seen Kemp. It was from his rookie season, 1989-1990. Couldn't believe a big man could pull off a dunk like that.
