OP Ive watched every Warriors match this season 4 times on replay and I would argue hes the leading defensive player of the year candidate..... to those who watch film. Everyone knows DPOY is a media award (hence why Duncan (guy who went 11-5 against Bron) never won one).

Of course everyone who actually watches all the games (league pass, NBA tv, Knicks/Nets package) knows Durant is the best defender in the league right now

As ive said, defense is the easiest part. If you could master the most difficult, theres no reason why you cant with the easiest. Most teams are great defensively. What separates the elite is offense. The same is true for players.
