The NBA D-League is experimenting with four and five-person officiating crews for nine games this season.
The first game of the trial took place on Dec. 26, with four referees officiating a matchup between the Westchester Knicks and Long Island Nets.
The next experimental game, also with four referees, is Jan. 2, when Long Island hosts the Delaware 87ers.
