After watching the game, Love totally killed us in the 3rd quarter. He kept making mistake after mistake after mistake. Scored a whole 3 points in the 2nd half after scoring 16 in the first half.

LeBron kept looking for screens instead of just driving the damn ball. It gets tiring sitting there watching the ball stop until 10 seconds is left then watching something happen. Classic LeBron ball.

Pacers played hard and great. Cavs blew a 22 point lead in Indiana in the regular season. Only fitting they blow another lead again.

Good game Pacers. Honestly the Pacers have played better as a team in all 3 games. LeBron's 46 is the only difference maker for the Cavs.

at the end of the game bron had that blank expression going. looks disinterested, like he's only playing cuz he's contractually obligated to do so.

most basketball fans recognize this as his 'decision' face.

i think win or lose this series, he already checked out spiritually, emotionally. he's just an empty shell on the court.

I agree but if he doesnt use the screens than other players dont get involved.. He should have noticed that his teammates were just not making shots so he should have started shooting earlier..

No one was getting involved though, it was one screen then another, then another and a bad shot. No one was cutting. No pick and pops. No pick and rolls. It was just disgustingly stagnant.

LeBron would have been better off driving and dishing if he wanted to get people involved, but it just seemed like he wasn't able to get past Bojan.

LeBron simply cannot afford to have an off qtr on this team. Especially on a team that runs no semblance of an actual offense. If he's not scoring or creating something easy, nobody else is doing anything either. That 3rd qtr was brutal and it decided the game.

Dude scores 12 straight Cav points and hits three 3s in the last 7 mins, single handedly keeps the Cavs in the game, but all these guys can do is bring up the one 3 he missed as a 'typical bran brick' and 'bran refused to touch the ball on the last play'. Only problem I have with the Cavs is that when things get tight a good coach usually is able to give them a great play out of a timeout to get a good easy shot..

Yeah but his game is frustrating which is why he catches flack. Scores early and gets boards, then goes into heavy distribution mode in the 3rd when no one else has done crap all game. Only to decide to start dominating the ball again in the 4th playing hero ball which he's done remarkably well this season.

Normally I'd second this, after all a 2pt gm3 loss on the road in a tied series should hardly be a harbinger of doom or even a bad sign.

But the way the Cavs were in control of the game (and the series) before collapsing? almost reminiscent of that gm4 loss to the Mavs in how it felt when the buzzer sounded.

So while not be exactly a death knell, it could wind up becoming more devastating a loss than it should have been.

you cant have it both ways. Either you think he should try to dominate the whole game(which is frankly really tough for anyone to do for 40+min) or he should get his teammates going from the get go(which is frankly not what you guys want). Lebron wasnt that great but this "rhythm" or "flow of the game" criticism is just mostly not there. Every other star player goes through stuff like this but when they're playing hero ball well, they're correctly complimented. When their teammates dont play well, the teammates are the ones who get the criticism.

The only way the Cavs get anywhere this postseason is if the entire team gets much better. They're not beating 55+ win teams 4 out of 7 with LeBron just playing hero ball for 48 mins. If he trying to get the rest of the team going, perhaps it's because he feels thats what he needs to be doing for the Cavs to get better and have a chance of a deep playoff run.

In the end, he'll never win with half the ppl on here. If he scored 50 and the Cavs lost he'd cop it for not playing team ball or not playing D. If he had a 20/15/15 game and the Cavs lost he'd have been too passive and cowardly to take take the game on himself. If he had a 20/15/15 game and the Cavs won he'd be a stat padder who protected his fg% and got lucky cos his team made shots. And if he scored 50 and the Cavs won it would be 'finally he didn't stink' or more likely 'these Pacers are trash anyway, he should be getting 50 in the Least'

To be fair the stan's are just as bad, but at least they're cheering for someone, rather than against him.

Here is what Lebron needs to do to try to be successful.

1. Try to average around 40 points per game or more, don't worry too much about triple doubles
2. Play excellent defense
3. Try to motivate your team like Jordan. Fire them up and get them playing aggressively.

Dude, you Lebron stans are so obsessed with his individual numberss to the point where it's all that matters to you. At the end of the day, the stats are meaningless, it's about the W. If he averaged 20/6/6 and his team swept the Pacers, that's better than him averaging 40/10/10 in a loss. But I know that you guys would rather pick the latter because then you can parrot the numbers to anyone who doesn't agree with your belief that he's the 2nd coming of jesus himself.

Win or lose this series, Bron is still a better player and human than MJ

I hope Bron get to the Finals and lose. He'd then have the same amount of Finals Ls as Jordan has wins.:oldlol:

Every year a superstars ultimate Goal is to win. Its why they play the game.

Being a LeBron hater just makes no sense to me. Such a miserable existence.

Dude scores 12 straight Cav points and hits three 3s in the last 7 mins, single handedly keeps the Cavs in the game, but all these guys can do is bring up the one 3 he missed as a 'typical bran brick' and 'bran refused to touch the ball on the last play'. I'm sure if the Cavs had have won, they'd be all about the 'Love bail out 3'. You're a pack of mindless obsessive idiots.

Get a life guys. LeBron is an insanely good basketball player, who has been pretty clutch for the most part this season and, whether u want to admit it or not, is playing with scrubs right now.

So you admit in this post its easier to win with better teammates in a team sport? Bravo, your sheer wittyness and upmost outstanding analytics are quite impressive.

It's about winning. Lebron has the talent to win the EC and the Finals but his game is no longer good enough to do so. You are blinded by his ppg/apg/rpg that you choose to ignore everything else. When RW averages a triple-double for the 2nd straight year, it's stat-padding. When Lebron has a triple-double, he's the 2nd coming of jesus. People only choose to use analytics here when it benefits them. Lebron ball simply isn't a winning formula in basketball anymore. He was lucky enough to win 2 out of his 3 titles, where his opponents collapsed in crunch time and handed the championship to him while he was trying his best to choke it away.

His stats simply aren't that impressive and they will become less relevant as time goes on, since more people will catch onto the fact that the rule changes in this era have led to an inflation in players' personal numbers. Jordan and Kobe played in the triangle, where they actually played off-ball and shared the ball with everyone on the floor, thus their teammates, while less talented, were able to be more effective with them on the court. Them also having a bigger role on offense led to better team chemistry which in turn made their defenses better.

Kobe didn't turn Pau Gasol into a spot-up shooter, Jordan allowed Pippen and Ron Harper to set up the offense. They played higher IQ basketball and it won them more championships, simple as that. Lebron plays 2K basketball and while it's exciting to watch for casuals, it's not a winning formula. It's why his teammates look clueless in tight games when they're forced to actually make a decision with the ball when it's not in Lebron's hands, because they're used to just finishing plays for him. I mean, we saw Kobe play Lebron ball in his 17th season and he had a lot of games where he put up video game numbers, his averages looked good but his team wasn't winning unless he played 40+ minutes a game and controlled every possession. Any star player in this league can put up big numbers when the ball is always in their hands, but is it a winning formula? It's not, because it's not sustainable throughout the season & playoffs, especially not for someone in their 30s.

Reading all these Bron fans melting down is almost as good as the game itself. That Cavs roster is mediocre at best.... for as good as he is, time is running out for James. Start getting in line for the Trae Young shows, kids.

Sigh, why do I bother...but..

Firstly back then it was a best of 5 series, so to lose a 1st round you only had to lose 3, if that were the case the Cavs would be on the brink of elimination right now

The first time he got knocked out in the 1st round was his rookie year, that team had no business being in the playoffs and they were playing a 2nd seeded Bucks team that almost won 60 games, with Moncrief and Cummings, the Bulls were in no way the favourite they were a 7th seed and rookie MJ averaged 30 points, 6 rebounds almost 9 assists

The 2nd time was his second year, he comes back from a broken foot despite the Bulls trying to keep him from playing, he accuses the team of trying to tank and they let him play the last 17 games getting the Bulls the 8th seed, they miss the playoffs if he doesn't return, the gets the chance to go up against the 85-86 Celtics the 1st seed with 67 wins featuring Bird, McHale, Parish,Walton etc who went on to win the championship, MJ averaged almost 44 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists more than 2 steals and 1 block while scoring at over 50% from the field including his 63 point game at the Garden

The 3rd time was his 3rd year again against the 1st seed Celtics who made the finals losing to LA. Jordan again averaged 36pts, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks a game. You think Lebrons teammates suck? Check out those early Bulls rosters.

We're not talking about the Wizards or Bobcats here, these were against some of the best teams of all time

Bran ball can only succeed with the NBA intervening, the highest payroll in NBA history, and colluding to form super teams.

This has been proven.

All the media and trolls in the world can't change that.

That is an epic gif and creative trolling.

Ish lately has become unbearable with the lack of basketball IQ and people skilled posters. Half of you guys are like the girls at a pickup game who got ****ed and clowned by half the team but you still show support, jealousy, and lust all at the same time. Thot fans.

Cleveland talent isnt a problem with this series. It's the mindset and fit. You got rid of tougher soldiers who were babies in the regular season for young guys that arent being trusted by the coach. You can talk narrative of lebron all you want. He doesn't have the control he had a year ago. Lue won a title and doesn't care about this season. He originally signed up for cleveland to coach a developing team. Hes not getting fired. Dan Gilbert not trading that pick and acquiring cheaper solid players is his move not lebrons.

LUE is being outcoached by Nate. Rotations are whack.

I've heard analysts say Cleveland looks slower. Slow to me means over thinking. Guys dont know what they are doing. They arent really being coached. Lue and bron can share that blame.

Cant blame Kevin Love. Hes the same guy he was 3 years ago. Hes older and more brittle. Theres a reason love took that smaller max deal than wait on supermax.

Still Cleveland is only down 2-1. The psyche of this team would suggest if they hit a 3-1 deficit they may not come back. But they can even the series. Talent isnt the problem.

Here is what Lebron needs to do to try to be successful.

1. Try to average around 40 points per game or more, don't worry too much about triple doubles
2. Play excellent defense
3. Try to motivate your team like Jordan. Fire them up and get them playing aggressively.

LeBron actually needs triple doubles.

Assists for someone other than him to hit shots in big spots.

Rebounds to start fast breaks.

Assists and rebounds do matter.

He only assists on low % jumpers. When they don't make the low% shots, you claim they suck.

If LeBron actually stopped stealing rebounds from his guards/Center, he'd actually be a helluva threat filling in the lane on a fastbreak. This would allow for a better brand of basketball so your hero doesn't have to keep losing so much.

You don't notice the cycle because you've been excusing his statpadding for so long.
