What? The ring was a classic staple of Frank Underwood the character. He's just saying he didn't do it and that's his way of officially stepping back into the character and denying the writers' version of events.

I would say the fact that he didn't fight it immediately and instead did the opposite... immediately went into hiding... suggests he actually did do it... maybe you're right and he's now just accepted that it's out there and doesn't care any longer.

House of Cards should have only been 4 seasons period. They padded it with fat as they do with 95% of American TV shows. But yes, I doubt anyone watched the last season with Claire. The show was and will always be about Frank, despite his wife being a great character.

Netflix just seems a hacky-place to make original TV shows. All their great "original" shows are ones they revive, take over after another company makes and continue them on their platform. They can't make actual original content for shit 99% of the time, I fear the Witcher is going to be completely forgettable despite it having Game of Thrones-tier potential...

I have a feeling a lot will depend on how the video comes out of him reportedly assaulting this teenager in Boston. The kid is the son of some local news reporter, they filed charges last week after the Christmas video came out, and apparently have a video of him at some bar either grabbing the kid or making unwanted advances.

If that video comes out weak, I could see a backlash to the backlash. He did get indicted this past week on the other charges, but if that case gets washed away by the idea that it was so long ago, and he was young, and then this other video comes back and shows some lecherous drunk gay guy rather than someone committing assault, and I could see him moving back into the spotlight and away from this. He's already laid the groundwork for blaming some repressed sexuality from his youth.

None of this means the guy isn't a total scumbag sociopath. There's been so many believable stories about the guy just being a total asshole. People just not liking him at all. I remember the guy who played Shane from The Walking Dead doing an interview on Opie and Anthony, talking about what a jackass the guy was while shooting Baby Driver.
