For me the last straw was Grown Ups

That was the last Sandler film where I finally knew he went full content > comedy

The Longest Yard being the last actual decent one imo

Adam Sandler has probably been in 50 or 60 movies or some crazy number and they’ve all been complete dogshit since 1999’s Big Daddy, which was his last good movie in the lead role.

I'm of the belief that Click was his last good movie, I liked that one.

Zohan sucked. Chuck and Larry was a throwaway. I would struggle to name any Sandler movie since then. I could see him having some kind of a resurgence at some point, but not in the kinds of movies he likes to do.

Any time I saw him in a "serious" dramatic role, I thought he did okay, but he gravitates to this cheap laugh bullshit that everyone outgrew decades ago.

??

He's the exec producer and writer of almost all his movies, Sandler doesn't audition for anyone.

He is Happy Madison productions, dude is filthy rich.

Spanglish. Maybe the worst movie I've ever half seen.

I thought Grown Ups was hilarious

probably right around after anger management or longest yard, they lost their appeal

Ones that made me keep watching after showing that he can actually act if he chooses a film that isn't shit:

Punch-Drunk Love (2002)
Reign Over Me (2007)
Funny People (2009)

Mr Deeds and Little Nicky. Sometime around 2000 was when his movies went to shit.

Reign Over Me and Click were great though, he's good at playing a somewhat sad / depressed character. I didn't think The Cobbler was that bad either.

All of his movies stink and he's incredibly annoying.

A grow ass man acting like a 13 year old.

I honestly think I've only seen Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore. Never cared to watch anything else; just not very funny.

I actually enjoyed Sandler's comedy cd's from way back with all his skits, but that brand of comedy doesn't translate well to movies.

Honestly 50 first dates was a movie I enjoyed and can watch over and over. Only movie besides home alone that I can rewatch. It makes me emotional and I don’t know why. His acting is weird though. It’s like he has no personality but it works for him.

That's cool you can rewatch Home Alone; I can, too.

I remember being a young kid and my mom and sister taking me to see it; I was furious because I wanted to watch something else, but I loved it.

It's almost as if it's the last time period that I believed in a sort of magic and beauty in the world.

F ucking crazy that Home Alone represents so much for me.

I still watch all of his films. Jack and Jill was terrible though. The new one he just put out with Chris Rock was a flop also.

Punch Drunk Love and Anger Management were his last decent films, after that he became unbearable.

I'm in the minority that actually likes Grown Ups

who needs raunchy, clever comedy?

Grown Ups is adorable, and the star-studded cast has natural chemistry together

10/10 film, will watch with my children 1 day

I haven't seen The Cobbler or The Do Over. Most of his movies are excellent.

And we must never forget:
