Anything less than 20, 10, 8, and I'm whooping her ass.
No one embarrasses me while I live vicariously through them.
Game. Time.

if you want her to be great. just tell her to practice dribbling with her off hand. thats the one thing kids overlook and it separates the top players from the scrubs from ages 5 to 15
unless you're freakishly tall of course

Oh shit that's awesome! Can't imagine how you feel I'd probably tear up a bit :lol
Should have her practice nothing but bank shots for a day

She's dominating 6 and 7 year olds and she's only 5!
And the only girl.

If you push her hard enough one of two things is going to happen...
1) She'll become a mega success... and hate you.
or
2) She'll become a loser... and hate you.
Yay!

Remember this?

His dad obsessively pushed him to degrees the likes of which most children will never know... and he wasn't going to get drafted when he declared and did workouts back in 2017 or whatever so he withdrew and faded into obscurity.
Gotta love parents living vicariously... lol.

Less competition for girls; she's the only girl on her team and the opposition had no girls today.
When she gets old enough and is playing with only girls, it's lights out.
My hope is she can be a big contributor for her HS team, but maybe we can get her to the Gators.
I'm taking her to lady Gator games to inspire her.

So do nothing?
Stop.
She will appreciate everything as she ages and matures.
And she is the one constantly asking me to practice.
I'm a complete piece of shit because no one took the time; I just want her to have a chance to be successful.

I didn't say do nothing.
You without a question should be involved in your child's life and molding her to succeed, within reason.
Do you think she actually has a passion for basketball or it's just her trying to please you / be you? Come on now.
As long as you're not psychotically pushing her to be good at basketball to overcome your own shortcomings, everything's gravy, baby!

OP is right...
He needs to push this little girl very hard. Extremely hard. That will be the only saving grace forthe dancys if she has a successful sports career. Even just getting a college scholarship would be amazing for the family.
She's not getting by on looks or smarts. We know this much.
But IF Justin can mold her into a great athlete with a high sports IQ, it could make all the difference in the world for the Dancy name.

I guess at this age it's all coed.
She's the only girl on her team and I've only seen a few girls total throughout the league and all age groups.
I wonder why more girls don't play, but it's cool because she'll face less competition when it's time to get serious.

You must hate yourself for how you let her treat you.
My son is 2 1/2 years younger than my daughter, but he beats her up all the time.
She knows better than to destroy him, but he takes no L from her.

Why would I hate her? That's a losing mentality. She's a much stronger and smarter person than me - I look up to her. I can learn a lot from her.
It was probably a lot worse for my dad than it was for me :lol imagine your wife's daughter is like a year younger than your son, and she totally bullies him and shows him up across the board in life. Ouch
