A white man wanted for killing a 7-year-old black girl in Texas — opening fire on her and her mother for no apparent reason as they were driving — may have been behind another random, racially-motivated shooting in 2017, and possibly one “not long” before that, according to activists.

Almost every one of these posters who clicked on this thread and were upset the storyline didn't turn out the way wanted are the same one's who constantly cry wolf about racism. I think the point is the media’s relentless attempts to stir up racial tension. The ONLY reason they gave this story the time of day is because the emotions they thought “white man shoots black child” would whip up.

Unfortunately, black children being killed by black gang members happens pretty often. The media pays no attention to these stories. And if the description in the story had been a black male shooter from the beginning, this would just be another story the media paid no attention to.

It's also the fact that whenever a white person wrongs a black person and the motive isn't obviously clear, it's automatic racism, when 99% of the time it's just because the white person is an asshole or a criminal. I realize the media will take an interest in white on black crime, especially rape since its almost nonexistent, so it stands out and grabs attention.
