What's going on? Why would a 21-19 team all of a sudden start playing like the worst team in the league?

The more I look at the schedule, the more I fail to see this team making the playoffs.

I mean, they might legitimately win 1 game in February:

@Warriors
@Pacers
@Celtics
@76ers
@Hawks
Rockets
@Pelicans
@Grizzlies
Pelicans

Nah. If LeBron has to, he’ll go into playoff mode early in order to get them there. He’ll be exhausted by the playoffs though, but Lakers weren’t winning anything this year anyways.

Yes they do. Knicks won those championships almost 50 years ago, before the merger, and a 8 team league. Most fans that were alive back then are in retirement and starting to die.

Before merger + 8 teams in the league isn't the same as today's format. After the merger it took a lot more effort to win.

Bynum’s career ended because of injuries. In 2012, he was widely considered the second best center in the entire league.

Gasol was still really good in 2012 wtf. He was the 3rd option and was asked to shoot more jumpers than he normally would have but he still put up like 17/10 iirc

pau gasol WAS infact A SCRUB in the 2012 playoffs

yes... he sh*t the bed vs okc... 12ppg on 44%, 0% threes and bricked crucial free throws that cost LA the series

yes you are right

yes gasol was a scrub by then. he followed that up with a dog sh*t 2013 and getting swept in the first round without kobe and leading LA without kobe to a dog shit record in 2014

gasol was finished by 2012. he came back alive in chicago only because the nba was going much smaller and he was playing in the east.

i guess gasols 12ppg on 44%, missing crucial free throws to cost them the series is just a thought and not reality

gasols 13ppg on 46% for the 2013 season and getting swept without kobe is a thought of mine and not reality

the lakers 27-55 record without kobe in 2014 with gasol as leader is just a thought

its all in my head lol

a bail out shot is when a teammate is put in a position where if he makes the shot the season continues or if he misses the shot the season ends...this happened in 2013 game 6 after lebron bricked a 3

Exactly... :applause: ... Some logic itt

Obviously, if you took mj, grant and paxson off the 1990 bulls - they're a lottery team

and pippen would've shot horrifically as #1 option with all the pressure on him - so people need to lay off Ingram, whose stats still match pippen's despite the #1 option burden that has reduced his efficiency (see the stats in previous post above)
