if a team doesn't blow it up, doesn't shelf its next best player and continues to compete without tanking agendas they can survive without lebron.. it just takes time to get rid of the bad traits they picked up playing under a ball dominant sociopath with a statistical agenda

i'm fairly confident this team is playoff bound. lebron going down will only help the lakers in the long run.

congrats laker nation. you win

Kuzma back and they're dominating.

Imagine if they had Rondo, too.

The Lakers were improving on wins each season. With a stellar cast of young talent + cap space. When the threat of actual competition approaches Lebron he jumps ship to teams like this. He didn't want to deal with the aftermath of bad contracts and win now players and failing to dominate with a stacked deck in CLE and MIA.

Not exactly dominant but highly capable.

Been saying that if they had Kuzma there and even Rondo helping that this team would still be competing just fine without Lebron.

Hell, even with Kuz we are doing well.

You can tell the pain of no LeBron team ever doing well without him cuts really deep with his haters. 2011 Cavs, 2015 Heat, 2019 Cavs.....it's been a long, painful struggle. And you know it's been bad when you're trying to push an agenda over a 3-5 team, with all 3 victories over lottery teams.

NOT TO MENTION the teams were previously on 50-win type paces and dropped off big

2018 Cavs = 50 wins
2019 Cavs = 16 wins (pace)

2018 Lakers = 35 wins
2019 Lakers = 48 wins (pace)

50 to 16
35 to 48

And people still deny this man as GOAT smh :facepalm

It hit me last night that lebron is done and has been for a while

He doesn't have the athleticism and overall talent level anymore to toss dimes on the move like he used to, or as often

He seems to need a lot of setup time, even more than before - a lot of his dimes are literally him standing there, not dribbling, and just waiting like 3-4 seconds for someone to cut... This kind of playmaking is a function of age - he can't get dynamic, on-the-move assists like he used to... :( .. :oldlol:

And it's been like this for years - he's just a stat-accumulator at this point and these growing lakers are worse with him

And needless to say, MJ would be the favorite heading into the playoffs with this team of studs up and down the roster

How far would 15th season Wizards MJ go with this team?

Lebron's athleticism is akin to 98' MJ where you saw a drop-off in his assists because he wasn't as dynamic an athlete

But MJ let his assists drop off, while lebron props them up with increasingly suboptimal play, i.e. stationary, shot-clock eating, brand-of-ball-reducing, padding assists..

Bran should just play off-ball, and if he can still be a dominant player that way, this Laker team will win ring this year

The rationalizing in this thread is hilarious and sad. What's worse is people who think they are smarter than they really are but base their argument on emotion and mask it as numbers.

I don't remember ISH being this emotional troll heavy ever. There's literally several people like a terrorist group wanting to post BS.

When people that hate you watch your every move, you know you're doing something right. Validating him shows respect.

Ur in denial - the Lakers are a faster, better defensively, and better passing team without bran:

Lakers first 34 games (https://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/LAL/2019/gamelog-advanced/#1-34-sum:tgl_advanced):. 102.6 pace.. 107.8 drtg.. 56.5 assist %
Lakers last N8 games (https://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/LAL/2019/gamelog-advanced/#35-42-sum:tgl_advanced):. 104.4 pace.. 105.4 drtg.. 62.1 assist %

https://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/LAL/2019/gamelog-advanced/

Only injuries and more time gelling has prevented a better record without bran.. they need to rid the team of bran-ball entirely... trade bran and his non-growth/team-hop style for a star or stars.

I get arguing for Jordan being better than Lebron, but come on, Lebron is great at getting mediocre teams to go far in the playoffs. Who would the Lakers trade for that's better now? AD, Wiggins, Butler? Those guys aren't in Lebron's class when it comes to meaningful impact.

According to your links, you ****ing retard, these are the stats:

Lakers with LeBron:

Team PPG - 113.2

Opposition PPG - 111.0

Team ORtg - 110.0

Team DRtg - 107.8

Lakers without LeBron:

Team PPG - 107.8 (-5.8)

Opposition PPG - 110.0 (+1.0)

Team ORtg - 103.3 (-6.7)

Team DRtg - 105.4 (+2.4)

Lets also not forget that the team is 3-5 without LeBron.

Meanwhile, the guy who you mastrubate to every day left a team and they only lost 2 games. A 36 year old Rodman was getting FMVP consideration on 1-9's team.

Irrelevant made up cherry-picked bullshit
1. Ordan was 1-9.

2. Ordan made the PO's on dog shit teams which won 30, 38, and 40 win teams.

3. Ordan was first round fodder without Pippen.

Am I doing the cherry-picked bullshit that 3retard does right?
