Trigger warning: This post contains observations using the eye on the game of basketball. Autistic stat nerds watch out.

Watching Luka, it becomes obvious how overrated Lebron's passing and ballhandling is.

Luka is listed at 6'7'' but is definitely taller, around 6'8'', like Lebron in other words.

At 6'8'' he can easily look over the top of the defender and make the bullet passes to the corners that Lebron has become famous for.

Lebron's so called "elite passing" is really just being tall and strong and having a team that spaces the floor at all times.

Bro you're making me hate Luka even

Kblaze should ban people for a period of time as soon as they show signs of doing what Jlauber(even myself in the past) did to Wilt

Go to your time out chair :lol

I don't know I think there both very good passers but I wouldn't say either is elite. Magic, stocton and isiah Thomas are elite. And there's lots of tall strong guys that have lots of shooters that don't have the court vision like those two so I think your a little off base on this one

OP isn't trolling

Bird's passing was superior because he didn't rely on his natural height advantage by pounding the rock forever and just looking over the defense... That's not great team offense, or particularly impressive, so bird didn't do it

OP is spot-on

Yep. LeDong 2 extra inches on MJ made a big difference. Just ask Madonna.

Large chunk of assists were created by drive in and kick out, it is NOT superior passing skill.

I honestly don't know how people think running to the rim as fast as you can and throwing the ball to the corner on every single play is high IQ or efficient basketball.

Luka is a great passer. It doesn't expose anybody.

Luka reminds me of Ginobilli at times with a little Harden.

I did not say it was not efficient
Obviously it is super effective for Lebron, but this move is not about "superior" passing.
You already drawn 2 (or maybe more) defenders to you, and you have at least 1 - 2 open teammates waiting for you. How difficult it is to pass, you tell me?

I believe "superior passing" here, means a lot more than kicking the ball to your wide open teammates, right?

Why doesn't he expose Durant? Harden? Magic?

Rhetorical questions.

To prevent this thread being highjacked to bash a player,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCFS2wviqD0 show Luka's passing Highlights. Due is very smart even at 16 he was doing some great things against grown men.

Can you share the link that explains how each assist came about for all players?

Can someone break down to me what classifies as a great passer? What are the criteria? Maybe that will help this conversation get more productive and not troll hating.

According to certain posters that watch basketball on Excel spread sheets, a great passer =

-black skinned
-colluding loser
-Bran
-arbitrary cutoff at 7apg

So why doesn't every 6'8+ player have those assist numbers and ball handling?

Luka makes great passes. Passing ability is natural for him.

Does a 19 year old stud possess the IQ and read-react of a 34 year old HOF passer? I doubt it.

Cause you've admitted before (after being called out) that you haven't seen 80's players.

never happened.

and yeah a 1998 kid definitely saw 80's games and has a right to judge them

He averages only 4.9 assists and over 3 turnovers a game

Come back when Luka can average at least 6 assists with at least a 2:1 assist to turnover ratio then we can can maybe compare to LeBron
