J.J. Barea out with season-ending achilles injury

The Mavericks believe J.J. Barea tore his right Achilles tendon, according to Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com.

Oh no. Barea has dealt with a lot of injuries in his career and this will be his toughest hurdle at age 34. He's a fan favorite and has been with the team for 10 total seasons with two years in Minnesota in between from 2011-13. Barea was locked in to 20 minutes most night regardless of who was active, averaging 10.8 points, 2.5 boards, 5.5 dimes, 0.6 steals and 1.0 treys.
