Drops 22 and 13 on him + shuts him down on the other end.

The rookie is quietly having a good year.Crazy that a #1 pick is going unnoticed.Rookie outplays an "mvp candidate" and it just gets swept under that old dusty rug.

Never seen a rookie take steph, harden, or westbrook to school (past couple mvps) + absolutely shut them down on the other end.....like could you even imagine this happening to lebron or kobe or shaq. I guess i hold the standard of MVP candidates to a different level than most others....i expect too much i suppose :ohwell:

edit - i hate that he started going off like crazy.Putting up empty stats down 20 with 6 mins left when they took ayton out.Box Score watchers will actually think he had a normal game....he didnt :lol.He got shut down by a rookie

Would have been ROY the year easily in 2014, 2015, and 2017. Not this year though. Doncic already has Ayton in his rear view mirror. Ayton will be good but Luka is already one of the most clutch players in the league and he's still a teenager.

He should be getting more credit, and I hope the chip on his shoulder about not getting more attention because of Luka drives him to work even harder. But with that being said it makes sense, people love underdogs and a lot of people were writing off Doncic. I wouldnt be surprised if you were calling bust before the season haha. Hopefully more take notice and he closes the gap making this a even closer race

Ayton is a beast but no one is noticing. Jokic must not be that good then :(

Op’s saltiness takes away the sting of this loss. He says nothing after all our wins.

Thanks op for reminding me how much jokic bothers you and how successful we’ve been. . A 41st pick out playing the 3rd. The nuggets with a better record out west than Philly out east?

Yeah I’ll tske it.

Ayton has been greatly overlooked. Any other year and he is getting crazy hype.

Can't say for sure, there's quite a few centers who started playing later than Ayton and came into the league doing better. I was expecting more from him. But with that being said it's possible. I was high on Doncic but if I was in control of the Suns I probably would have made the same choice.

I do find it hilarious though that so many people are assuming a 19 year old will stagnate, especially with his athletic ability. If he hits the weight room more snd stops playing fortnight I can see him looking like this guy in a few years https://youtu.be/bEm5WE8kITk

He'll never be Air Luka, but The Don will improve more than some people seem to think. Rooting for all these guys to do well.

How much potential do you guys see in JJ Jr?

Jokic scored 35 pt and a perfect FG% game on him first meeting...

Anyways Ayton has played well since then, need to improve on D still.

Is the point of this thread to prove ayton is now better than Jokic?

I'm not saying Jokic is better but is that really what's going on here?

Ayton is a damn rookie and his season stats fuccin insane 20/13 and Jokic rookie stats 10/7 in 3 years Ayton will be the best center in the NBA

Ayton is actually putting up better numbers than Luka. Very very very underrated cause he isn't flashy.

Jokic lost to a Suns squad without their best player playing (Devin Booker). let that sink in

I think that says more about Bookers negative impact than it says anything about Jokic.

"negative impact" lol The Suns were on like a 10 game losing streak before he came back then they won 4 straight. Granted, this is a very young team that's had a lot of moving pieces.

They're settled in and naturally improving now. They gotta learn how to win games without relying on Book whether he's injured or not. This team has relied way too much on Book carrying the load. Especially this year with him most of his minutes out of position at PG.

Yes this is all definitely 100% true

But my question is are we trying to say that Ayton is better than jokic now? Based on this game?

We should make threads praising players after every good game?

And your point is?

Do teams never lose to horrible teams?

This thread makes no sense. Is anyone actually trying to make a legitimate point whatsoever?

This is my fault for expecting 14 year olds to make rational thiughts

Could have been trolling to see if Mask would agree, since he's butt hurt about white people and seems to go full retard a lot. Probably lost a girl who wanted some white chocolate, poor guy got cucked by a unicorn BWC

17/10 is still a lot better stats than a lot of rookies including Jokic's rookie year.

Ayton is under the radar and having one of the most efficient scoring seasons of any rookie.

Must have a good game for the Suns to beat the Nuggets. Or another way of saying it: for the worst team in the Western conference to beat the best team in the conference. 3 blocks, 4 ORB - pretty good.

don't think he'll ever develop Jokic's passing game, but I can see him being a 20ppg+ scorer, he's shown some craftiness.

Does the 1st meeting excuse work for Doncic as well?

Uh oh Hawker is posting in the NBA forum.
