If that slow, basic skillset can dominate today's game, what would the greatest combo shooter/passer/rebounder of all-time do?
It seems like today's game is built for bigs to be more than just bigs, i.e. shoot (Jokic), pass (bran, jokic)... Doesn't that benefit the original and goat stretch 4 more than anyone else?..
so 35/10/10 for peak Bird in today's game?.. :confusedshrug: ..
and as the best combo shooter/passer/rebounder ever, and an original stretch 4 brand that improved teams as much as anyone in history, bird could be goat

Jokic > any big man passer from the 80s/90s. He's on another level than those cavemen from back then.

Spacing makes today's passing beginner-level versus the advanced passing required of unspaced floors
In today's game, it's standard for players and coaches to get irate when another player ruins spacing with bad positioning.. so its a huge crutch and they'd be lost in prior eras
They'd have to grow up all over again without spacing to hardwire the instinct and talent that previous eras had

Lol at attacking Jokic one of the highest IQ and most skilled players in todays game.
Not backing this one bud.
The way Jokic mixes up destroying defenses with a combination of passing and scoring is absolutely masterful.

Jokic is already a better passer and rebounder than MJ ever was

Why did the Lakers lose to the Cavaliers yesterday?

Even if true, it doesn't matter
Is jokic a better passer than bird, answer that..
Today's passing is frequently where someone stands stationary with the ball for a few seconds, and then hits a cutter that flashed to the wide open spot, or a shooter for a three, or some spaced-out backdoor.... That doesn't compare to the passing required on unspaced floors

Passing vs a zone is definitely harder than passing vs man-to-man D for a big man. Have you ever played basketball beyond your driveway?

Why was 4 rebounds and 2 assists enough for Jordan to win in 1998?

No zone allowed in the paint* and spacing >>>> zone outside the paint
* defenders must stay within "armslength" (https://www.google.com/search?q=nba+armslength+rule&oq=nba+armslength+rule&aqs=chrome..69i57j33.7041j0j4&client=ms-android-mpcs-us-revc&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8) of offensive players inside the paint, the exact opposite of a zone, and the strictest defense possible other than asking defenders to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with their man.. :oldlol:
