View Full Version : Does anyone remember when putting up a 50 piece felt special?

And it wasn't that long ago either... Putting up 50 used to be a rarity that fans would gloss over afterward. Now, you got guys sticking 55-60 and nobody bat's an eye.

Side note: Gerald fricken Green jacked up 15 three's today.

What a time...

You know that every single kid dreaming of being in the NBA some day is practicing jacking threes now. Just wait for the next generation of three point shooting.

I don't know if the league is going to address the imbalance. If every team becomes like the Rockets, and you have 20 guys in the league with Curry's range, do you just go with the flow and add a four point shot?

It still feels special.

Does it though?

I remember dudes used to flood to ISH after one of those performances and said thread would attract all sorts of viewership/attention.

Aldridge put up a massive output last week and nobody seemed to notice.

This board doesn’t really care much about anyone besides LeBron, Kobe or MJ.

They go the opposite way actually bring the shot clock back to 24 after offensive rebounds hand checking and change 3 second violation to 5 or 6 for defenses make defense more valuable and balance everything out

And stop calling hard fouls flagrant

I haven't watched James Harden's games.. but 50 is 50.. sure he gets phantom calls and the league is more lax when it comes to officiating as it became a more offensive oriented league.. but it's still impressive. I knew just by looking at the final scores on yahoo Harden would put up serious numbers.. but seeing 58 is pretty out there man. :wtf: That said I haven't watched much of his games tbqh.

Ughs.

I hate it. I hate all of it.

You're right though. That's where we're trending. This league is a long ball bananza.

James Harden has scored 57 or more points in 2 consecutive games.
ZERO of his made shots in those two games were assisted.
Not a single one

The league wont change it though. It looks bad for the league that your best players of all time are all retired. So increase scoring let Harden Lebron Curry Durant Westbrook break a bunch of stats to make the product seem better than it is make triple doubles a thing players chase and so on.
