I was doing some research and stumbled upon the longest single season win streaks in NBA history and it got me thinking.

Why couldn't Jordan have a 27 game win streak?

The longest single-season win streaks are as follows:

1. 1972 Lakers, 33 wins: Baylor, West, Chamberlin
2. 2013 Heat, 27 wins: James, Wade
3. 2008 Rockets, 22 wins: McGrady, Yao Ming
4. 1971 Bucks, 22 wins: Kareem, Oscar
5. 1999 Lakers, 19 wins, Shaq, Fisher

I didn't even find Jordan in the top 5 all-time single season win streaks so his lack of success begs the question. Why couldn't Jordan have a 27 game win streak?

It's on lebron for never having a dominant favorite for any sustained period, and thereby reducing his Finals chances.. 3/9 is because LeBron/Wade and LeBron/Kyrie weren't good enough to have a dominant team, while Steph/Klay were, despite obviously possessing less talent

Role players are largely interchangeable, especially for teams like the bulls or spurs that have goat teamwork

Do you realize that every player on the bulls 2nd three-peat teams were different from the 1st three-peat, except MJ/Scottie?... The only thing that matters are the stars and the system - the rest is interchangeable for teams with great teamwork, i.e. spurs/bulls
