hall of famer Bill Goldberg

also rumors of WWE champion AJ styles jumping ship
http://www.prowrestlingsheet.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/AJ-Styles.jpg
plus WWE stars finn balor, Rey Mysterio, Shinsuke Nakamora, bobby roode and new japan star kenny omega
they're a rebellion to the current PC G rated kids show WWE has become and will be bringing back pyrotechnics, blood, adult humor, high risk maneuvers and a serious adult take resembling the attitude era

I wish WCW or a WCW style federation would emerge but I'm not holding my breath. TNA was allegedly the new WCW at one point. That didn't work.

Wrestling is so stale nowadays. Hopefully this will work. Is TNA still around?

WCW has a really big legacy for such a brief company. WCW lasted like...12 years?
And it was terrible for much of that time.

WCW was just a rebrand of the NWA.

WCW was just a rebrand of the NWA.
Except the NWA title wasnt in WCW for long. I think WCW left in like 1991.
WCW was just the name of a TV show used by both the NWA and WWF at times and they took it to make it a new company name when the mid south promotion sold out to Turner.
The NWA wasnt one promotion. It was just a group of promoters picking a few national champions to create drawing power in all territories. The WWF was in the NWA for a while.
WCW was just a popular name because it was an afternoon wrestling show....but it was just Ted Turner wrestling. The NWA pretty much was dead by then. Crockett took over most of it then sold out and what he didnt have went on its own way.
The NWA was hard to take out for a long time because it was really a country full of companies that worked together. Once it was just relying on one brand to carry it it went from 40-50 years on top to out of business in a decade.

TNA was an amazing show before they hired Hogan
TNA's problem was they never broke out of that studio set
it always seemed like a house show.
all elite/all in seems to be about huge venues which gives added credibility to the product
you need a grand spectacle with massive fireworks and big pops...plus you need money to afford music rights and big name announcers like michael buffer
if hogan came out to voodoo child and did some OG heel work like he did in wcw then it would have went over

Was born in 91, those WCW days defined my childhood. Voodoo Child gave me goose bumps even back when I didn't like music yet :lol. Loved that entrance. Watched it with my grandpa before I even heard of WWF. I remember my dad not wanting to buy the PPV Goldberg lost to nash, my Uncle who got it called me to tell the results and I ****ing cried my eyes out Goldberg lost
If I remember correctly the first time I saw WWF was of someone smacking Kane with a shoe...Didn't end well for him :lol. Does that ring a bell to you? I've never been able to find that clip so Idk if my memory is playing tricks on me with so much time passed

and to think none of this would have happened if not for wwe trying to bury cody and make him another laughing stock gimmicky mid card jobber like his brother
http://stillrealtous.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/stardust.jpg
everywhere else he's super popular

All it comes down to is if they have the money to compete with wwe. Then they cann start creating real competition by stealing big names, not just mid carders. You have to get people to care. Only die hard wrestling nerds care about aew right now.
I don't think guys like jericho and stardust and young bucks are enough to get people to tune in and keep tuning in. Hope they can pull it off

I think their top priority at the moment is to land a good television deal. Not some obscure channel that no one has but an actual known station and timeslot that

Money wouldn't be big problem considering how Dixie Carter family company was able to fund TNA/GFW/Impact that long by themselves.
Personnel to fill the roster may be a bit troublesome since WWE has hoarded most better ones while the rest are already with either NJPW or ROH.
Now what they have to do is finding ways to sell the brand to casuals. It won't be easy since WWE has dominated that market since forever with no real competitors in years.

I think they might sign some of the latest talent that were fired by the WWE.
