Making the leap from barely top 20 to GOAT is far too improbable

I would say this universe is Kobe's peak, and in most other universes he's a ringless chucker like we all know he should be if not for incredibly stacked teams and lucky circumstances.

To be honest, the two things that hurt Kobe the most GOAT from being a top 4 guy is only 1 MVP. And from there, being so similar to MJ. The other guys in the top 10 GOAT revolutionized their positions big time. Kobe is the only one who didn't overall.

He did expand the scoring skillset that MJ put on the map. And when u combine scoring skillset, handles, defense, and passing as a package, is the most skilled player of all time in my opinion. I'll give him that.

BUT guys like MJ, Russ, Wilt, Bron, Cap, Magic, Bird, Shaq, and Duncan gave their positions a look they never had before. So for me Kobe, Kobe could be ranked anywhere from 6-10 GOAT wise and I wouldn't complain to hard. MJ, Cap, Bron, Magic, and Russ is a tough top 5 GOAT to crack.
