This... this was Charles Barkley before the Curry Warriors completely revolutionized the entire game of basketball as we know it. And can we really fault Chuck for this take? Before Curry, it was almost a fact that you needed elite mid-range/post game/traditional big men to win a championship and that jump shooting based offenses were way too inconsistent to be able to win anything. That the style of jump shooting in and of itself, was too inconsistent to be able to win.

Now look at how the game is viewed. Just a few short years later, every single team is hunting down 3pt shooters and shooting 60-70 3pters a game. Just a few short years later, Curry and the Warriors COMPLETELY changed the recipe for success in the NBA today. Curry essentially turned up to down and down to up. He flipped the very logic for success that was followed for decades.

Curry will absolutely demolish 99.99% of shooting records but that is only a small piece of his overall legacy. The entire landscape of the NBA was changed mainly due to Curry. People who will say "nah it was Morey", sure, he had the idea, he had the theory. But what Curry did, what Curry brought to reality as one singular player, Morey never could have dreamed of this type of player existing with even his wildest imagination. No one thought this level of shooting skill could ever be obtained.

Curry will go down as the most impactful player of the '10s.

the rockets are a jump shooting team since that's the bulk of their offense.

the warriors while an excellent shooting team, a large extent of their damage occurs inside the paint BECAUSE they have so many 3pt threats, and also since the ball and players hop.

Who was doing all this paint damage when it was the Curry/Klay/Dray show? Zaza only scored so much.

Didn't say he did, asking who did the championship level paint damage for them?

This was Charles Barkley

- a player that played when defense was allowed.

The NBA banned defense so yeah, now jump shooters shoot like it's open gym. Kinda hard to miss when the best someone can do is wave a hand in your face (out of reach of rip throughs tho - can't get too close or the defensive player swiping your defensive stance is a "foul" on you the defensive player :oldlol: ).

Great time to be a shooter.

everyone. Warriors scored in the paint in 2016 3% more than they did from the 3pt line.

the rockets this year are a jump shooting team, their PITP is 37% as opposed to their 3pt FGs which was a whopping 52%.

He was partially right.

Durant's midrange and post game took GSW from gimmick team to dynasty.

It didn't have to be Durant though. Any strong mid range shooter would have really improved their game.

People forget just how bad for morale it is to see Curry chuck up contested half court 3s when you're down in the finals. That shit is infuriating.
