View Full Version : Are the Jordan "NEVA LOST" fans also Lavar Ball fans?

TheCorporation

Seriously, whenever someone says Jordan NEVA LOST I always picture them as Lavar Ball, creating this peculiar fantasy world that consists of very little truth and tons of fabrication.

Facts:
-He did lose; in fact he lost a lot. He was 1/10 before Pippen arrived.
-He lost in the '95 playoffs so please don't say, "hE wOuLdve hAd 8-pEAt bRo
-He missed the playoffs both years he played with the Wizards

This is what I picture when kids say "MJ never lost 6 for 6"

I think they mean in the finals, were he's six for six for six.

But if you want to count all the seasons, then it's:

Russell: 11/13
Jones: 10/12
Hondo: 8/16
Horry: 7/16
Jordan: 6/15
Kareem: 6/20
Magic: 5/13
Duncan: 5/19
Kobe: 5/20
Shaq: 4/21
Bird: 3/13
Lebron/Wade: 3/15

Larry Bird whose back was so crippled that he rarely practiced his final season and was getting hours of back treatment on every game day was able to win almost 70% of the 45 games he suited up for.

A physically superior (to Bird) Wizards Jordan couldn't muster more than 37 wins.

A true "GOAT" would never be so bad as to be on a losing team where he's still the best player, played all 82 games, and averaged 37 minutes per game.

Peak MJ was less impactful than peak Bird, Russell, Chamberlain, Magic, Lebron (beyond any doubt) and arguably Olajuwon, Jabbar.

Only reason you have so many retards who believe MJ is "unquestionably" the GOAT is because these imbeciles have never known a time when ESPN wasn't out there hyping him.

Big facts right here.

I mean seriously, we can swap MJ out with any number of players and the Bulls would still win (Bron, Bird, Durant, Melo, Iverson). Hell, you can DROP MJ from the team and they go from 57 to 55 wins.

He was a good scorer. That's about it.

So all those dudes are going to be dropping 41/8.5/6.3 on 50.8% in the finals?

There are other ways to impact the game like setting up teammates and getting them more involved in the offense, or maybe checking Barkley better so he doesn't score as much. I'm not saying those guys would have won the series if in Jordan's place, but saying they need to put up the same box score doesn't really work.

Ainosterhaspie

20 is about the max length of a career. If people feel the need to track how many times a player won vs how many times he tried, I think they should just use 20 across the board. Guys shouldn't get an artificial boost to their percentage just because they don't have the durability to put in a full 20 years. Using 20 standardizes for everyone.

That's for those who feel the need to track times players didn't win the title. Really though only the titles should be counted.

This is actually a fair assessment, I like your thinking. Otherwise we would be rewarding players that played a short period of time and had success and then skipped out when their careers were coming to an end. 20 years is a good measuring stick.

No, I don't think Melo would, but you're not understanding this too well.

Jordan was going up against cupcakes teams his entire career in the Finals so swapping out his 27-4-2 for a 26-5-5 guy would be all the same.

For example, in the 1992 Finals when MJ beat the Trailblazer he did so with
36-5-6, so do I think those guys could put up similar numbers and win? Yes, of course. Don't forget what Pippen did in that 1992 Finals as well:

21-8-8 with a better DRtg (102) than Jordan (104).

So, the question is do you think those mentioned players would beat Drexler with the #2 guy on the Bulls team putting up 21-8-8 with a 102 DRtg? Yes, absolutely.
