Harden 17-18: 10.0 on 37%
Harden 18-19: 13.3 on 37%

Curry 18-19: 11.7 on 45%

4/10 (3 pointers) = 40%, 12 points

Essentially 60% FG is close to 40% 3P

40% from 3pt is exactly equivalent to 60% from 2pt when analyzed in isolation...

I'd say 60% from 2pt might be slightly better because if you're driving to the basket there is a higher chance of getting fouled so there is more possibility of extra points from the foul line plus you're getting opposition in foul trouble. On the other hand missed 3pt do result in more offensive rebounds. I'd like to see an analysis for this.

Yeah for numbers sake obviously identical as a percentage but usually players don't get the same # of shots from 3 as 2. And then of course you have to account for the fact that hardly anyone shoots 60% from the field anyway but yes great points all around my dude :cheers:
