View Full Version : Why do refs treat Harden so differently?

I'm wondering if there has been anyone to confront the league, or even just the officials, about what has been an openly known problem for years.

Harden gets preferential treatment. Literally everyone hates it. It takes away from the NBA product in the eyes of fans. Other players and coaches hate it.

Why does it work? Why is it allowed to continue?

No different than Lebron's treatment from 08-16.

League rules are even weaker now. Figures a SG like Harden can exploit that to the fullest.

No this is an honest question, so let's ignore the first f@ggot to drag his cringe agenda in here and start making shit up.

Harden. Why is he treated so special? Why do refs just continue to give him preference, even when it seems so obviously bad for the league?

It's cause he is a lefty, it confuses the refs.

Because he's slicker than everyone else and low IQ players can't stop fouling him. He's a god damn magician.

He's exploiting the rules. Think:

Shaq-elbow to the face/ribs
Steve Francis- Carry
Bruce Bowen- Undercutting jump shooters
Lebron- travel/charge/stiff-arm
James Harden- 3 step-step back

However, Harden actually can score without cheesing for fouls. We've never seen a dude stick the ball out like that and bait players to reach across his arm.

It's lame af, but smart teams/players know how to deal with this come playoffs.

Because the refs were told to allow King James to travel and stiff arm and not be allowed to breath on him only they got confused about which King James was the one in question.

Refs have instructions to help him because hes a marketable product. Hes got a hugely marketable image (the beard and all) and the stepback three chucking is what the league is all about right now. I see kids everywhere imitating his shitty style. So when he flops thats the perfect excuse for refs to boost his statsheet. this clown is 100 percent manufactured

3 posters in this thread literally can’t stop talking about LeBron it seems. Pathetic.

To answer the OP, he plays differently than a lot of players. More ref baiting. Also baits players to take him across the arms, right? This helps.

Lol. At least Bron fans are open about this shit these days. No need for maintaining plausible deniability.

His shitty c0ck-riding stanleys are now in a competitive conference and suddenly they want his competition crippled

Pretty disgusting shit...even from a turd like you.

This reminds me of people complaining about Curry "flopping" because he decides to fall on his ass rather than come down on a size 16 foot and risk another ankle injury. You don't understand basketball if you don't understand that rule.

Harden, as much as I dislike his game, doesn't deserve to be bruce bowen'd or jalen rose'd.

Good luck on your karma, as well.

Actually Curry is the polar opposite. He doesn't get enough love from the refs.
