How many rings does he win if he increased his % of being on a championship contending team?
I think he gets 7 if he dipped to collude somewhere else when Lakers got the nixed CP3 deal.
Imagine 7-8 rings? Jeezus

"On the night before the draft, Nets management entertained Bryant's parents, Joe and Pam, at the Radisson in Secaucus, N.J., where Calipari had temporary residence on the top floor in a presidential suite. Everybody seemed to be on board with Bryant's becoming Calipari's first NBA draft pick.
"We were ready to take Kobe," said Joe Taub, one of the Nets' primary owners then. "But then a lot of things happened with management and the agent and things changed that [draft] night."
Things changed rapidly in the hours before the draft and something didn't smell right to the Nets. Having grown up a Lakers fan, Bryant wanted to be a Laker -- and he knew there was a good chance it could happen. A smitten Jerry West had already begun making plans to land Bryant with a deal involving Vlade Divac to Charlotte for the 13th pick.
The teams between the Nets and Hornets -- Dallas, Indiana, Golden State and Cleveland -- didn't seem to be interested in Bryant and all would end up drafting big men.
The Lakers just needed Bryant to convince Calipari and the Nets that the high schooler wouldn't play for the Nets under any circumstance. According to Nash, Bryant's camp called him and Calipari and told them he wouldn't play for the Nets. Playing overseas in Italy was mentioned although Nash said he never bought it. There were, however, other factors conspiring against the Nets.

Yup
Kobe's was begging to be traded the first year he didn't have Shaq drag him to the playoffs
The second Phil Jackson retired and the road became bumpy again, he started strong arming coaches and pushed out D'Antoni, Brown and Byron in 5 years time. Throwing fits at young players, crying to Mitch, it's all on video.
Imagine if he didn't force his way onto a 55 win team with 3 all-stars :lol

Did it help him in the long run to demand a trade? Absolutely. It forced the front office to take him wasting his prime away with Lamar Odom and Chris Mihm seriously. Lebron should have done it the same way. Demand things get better or he's out. He didn't do it, he pretended to be happy and bounced on a national tv show.

Imagine releasing or trading players when things got tough. Oh wait, it happens daily. Why is ok when they do it tho?

If Kobe got to create superteams?
At least a few more rings.

Your post doesn't even make sense.
Kobe played on shit teams in 2005, 2006 and 2007. If that's not a "hint of adversity" then grab a better phrase.

lost that marketing machine, but in a way i'm glad he wasn't pampered

Kobe colluded before he played his first NBA game. He went to join the most dominant center ever. Charlotte were the ones that drafted him, they only traded his ass because he was a spoiled brat who did not want to establish a legacy on his own.

So the best people can come up with is an “almost” when he wasn’t even old enough to buy cigarettes and a tactical bluff to kick the front office in gear!?

Jordan and Lebron are still better than Kobe.
Why would Kobe leave the best franchise in the NBA?

The NBA literally tried to impede him and he still got 5.
They wanted him gone after the rape accusation.
And then illegally stopped fair trades.
He did it against all odds.

alright well lets mimmick lebrons decisions
kobe quits on the lakers after age 25 like lebron
he goes to the spurs for the 2005 season and joins a wade/bosh/allen type trio
after claiming the next 4 straight titles to push his total to 7 he heads back to the lakers for the 2009 season to join the #1 pick derrick rose and trades 2 other #1 picks for pau gasol(a kevin love type )
so instead of winning back to back they likely run off a three peat before roses injuries and push kobes total to 10 rings

If Kobe left when the going got tough (and he was close, don't get me wrong), he'd have at least 7 rings. Instant finals with a competent roster out in the brutal west.
It should not put him above Jordan since Jordan was better, but it should definitely be enough for casuals/LeStans to stop fooling themselves into thinking LeBron is in the same class :lol

I dont agree with you usually but this is pure fact...
Kobe leaves at the first hint of adversity after Shaq leaves.... goes to another superteam and wins 3 rings....
At 2011+ he goes to a final team that can compete (Kobe+AD+Kawhi) another 2-3 rings....
