As I figured, the Pelicans are going to avoid them out of spite. The Lakers could offer by far the best deal and I'm pretty sure the Pelicans would tell them to **** off.

The question now is... will Anthony Davis play for Boston or is he hell bent on playing for the Lakers? If he's Hell bent on playing for the Lakers and either won't report and/or won't sign an extension, all bets are off... and IF that's the case then my guess is he gets what he wants in the off season and ends up on the Lakers.

However, my more likely guess is... he's not that much of a hardliner about it, and he ends up in Boston and signs an extension along with Kyrie. And even if he does take the hard line stance... if New Orleans says **** you and Boston gambles with the 1 year rental, he goes to Boston and they mesh well enough that he stays long term anyways.

If Lonzo pans out, that may end up being a better roster than gutting the Lakers for AD anyways. The problem with that scenario, however, is that LeBron does not have 5 years left to wait around, imo. They need to improve drastically right now. Kawhi would make that a reality, so would Beal... but I think that's a tough pull. I would be surprised if the Lakers can pull Kawhi and Beal. Very surprised.
