I think it's wrong and they should do it the other way round.
The team that was the closest to making the playoffs should have the best chance to win the lottery. Why? They tried. They have a chance to be a good team. This should be rewarded.

that happened to the cavs twice. Kyrie was really the clippers pick and they only had like a 2% chance to win it, and when the cavs got won the pick that was wiggins they just missed out on the playoffs.
Derrick Rose was another notable low chance pick.

You jest, but you must realize that many fans aren't used to focusing on draft lottery odds enough to even do the simple math on this or be aware of the change.

This means a team that is genuinely bad--a team that tries its hardest all season long and still ends up with the worst record--will get no help from the draft next offseason. You gonna have several teams that will never dig out of a hole for YEARS and that no free agents will ever want to go to

Silver is a complete idiot.
He will do EVERYTHING in his power to try to prove these new odds work.
There is no way he lets the team with the worst record get the first pick.
It is all because he wants his gambling revenue and he knows that can't happen if teams a trying to lose on purpose.
But if you want parity in the league punishing the worst teams for being bad is not the way.

I've seen him in a couple of games. From Indiana right? He's good but he doesn't WOW me. I'll take Barrett if they don't get Zion. Keep reading about this kid Morant, never seen a game or highlight of his.

Yeah Langford is from Indiana. From the few clips I've seen, he'd be a perfect replacement for Hardaway, and can actually take it to the rim.
Morant is a beast. High flyer like Westbrook. But he's a PG and I'd like to either keep DSJ or sign Kyrie.
Honestly, I think we end up with either Zion or Barrett and would not complain either way.

I will accept these terms if the team with the 5th worst record can get the 1st pick. Go ahead and give the Hawks Zion and reward us for actually trying in every game lol. They know they want to add the most exciting prospect since Lebron to the most exciting young team :P

Knicks have been trying lately as well :lol won 2 out of 3... which is like a winning streak for them :lol
I guess I should be happy it's the youngins that are getting them these wins and not old farts trying to get paid.
