The only thing Ainge did wrong was sign the Hayward contract, and unfortunately it turned into a worst case scenario. It looks even worse because he unknowingly already had a solid starter in Tatum.

The rest of his moves have been impeccable. People seem to gloss over the fact that Cleveland dealt with Boston because they needed and WANTED Isiah Thomas as a Kyrie replacement to make one more title run, and they got the Brooklyn pick as a hedge against his health. It just didn't work out.

If Isiah had stayed on the Celtics, he would've been injured and ineffective, and Ainge wouldn't have paid him anyway. Is that really much worse than what happened? As it turns out, no team was willing to give him a charity contract, not only Boston. It's a tough break, that's all.

he held on too long to rozier. he should've sold him when his stock was high and the phone was ringing nonstop with offers for him.

Maybe that terrible Kobe contract they gave him as a token of respect is paying dividends right now for Lakers.

Remind me how refusing to trade Ingram against PG13 went out already? :lol

We have to see it all play out, but Ainge seems to have really messed with this Rozier situation, but maybe not if Kyrie leaves...although what they could have gotten for him this summer was probably better than signing him this summer anyway.

We'll see how it all plays out though...way too early to conclude anything.

Ok, that was a bad non-move that he pretty obviously should've made. I'll easily admit that one.

How long is it gonna take before people realize that this guy is either the owner of the site or a paid shill trying to drum up clickbait? :lol

Ainge isn't feeling any heat. He's dealing from a position of strength. He has the best assets to trade and Davis needs the Celtics more than they need him. If Davis goes elsewhere, so be it. If the Pelicans wanted the junk that the Lakers are offering the trade would have happened already.
