Interested to know what books you guys are reading/ recommend as the NBA has become a bore to me.. any good books - could be technical, technology, science, business.. I'm more of a non-fiction guy.. but fiction can be good as well. Was big on at one point science fiction post-apocalyptic futuristic stuff. Any good books out there you want to share? Thanks.

I read Lawrence's Broken Empire trilogy last year...didn't think it was all that great. It just didn't click for me. Took me much longer to finish it than it would normally take as I just was never enthralled by the novels. They weren't bad, per say, but it was never a page turner for me.

Would be cool getting a book of the month recommendation list. At the local library or something. And then to actually use it.
Or, to get a list of best books ever. The classics. And do the same there.

Has anyone read anything by Clive Cussler? I always see his books at the bookstore.

What's the name of that poster that wrote a book? Akrazomething. He hasn't been on in almost a month. I would get the audio book for his book.

Would also have been cool if you didn't delete the "What are you reading" thread.
Reading City of Mirrors by Justin Cronin and 200 pages in, it kinda suck.
So maybe dont read that one.

As childish as it may seem, looking at the pictures of the DK Encyclopedia series was very enjoyable back in the day. Gained a huge spark to learn about things.
They give you the measurements, the latin names, the diet and the straight up stuff. Really helps you gain an appreciation for the various organisms out there.

I'm planning to re-read Fahrenheit 451, The Grapes of Wrath (these are two of my favorite reads of all time) and to read Ulysses (which is loosely based on The Odyssey) for the first time, and probably in that order, which is probably the order of reading difficulty. Even most native English speakers might have to wrestle a bit with something as complex as Ulysses.
