View Full Version : Why are the Lakers so bad with Lebron?

From competitive basketball against the Warriors & holding Curry scoreless for 3 quarters to getting blown out by Pacers with no Oladipo.

What happened?

Didnt we lose to the Warriors by double digits and that was with Curry being a no show?

Didnt we lose to the Warriors by double digits?

Weren't we also up by double digits on the road?

We're losing by 20+ in the 3rd quarter to Pacers with no Oladipo with Lebron. What is this.

no Lonzo

their best passer/playmaker/defender and intangibles guy with hustle, intensity, team camaraderie etc

11-23 without him since hes been drafted, looking like 11-24

The same reason why the Lakers were dogshit with PEAK Brick from '05-'07, until Pau saved his ass.

At least "Brick" gave us exciting basketball and got us to the Playoffs, this right now is a complete joke.

Yeah, going to the lottery and choking away a 3-1 lead is exciting as hell basketball. Bricking like 60% of your shots is crazy exciting.

Lets not forget that Brick pretty much killed the Lakers because of his insanely bloated contract. :oldlol:

In before we bring up the easy schedule LeBron started with this season

THE easiest part of the schedule was during his absence.. They played games vs the four worse teams in the league.. They went 6-12 during a stretch where at worse they should have gone 8-8 considering 4 games were gimmees

What?

We played the Kings 2x, Clippers, Jazz, Mavs, Rockets, OKC 2x, Warriors 2x, 76ers, Wolves 2x without Lebron, plus we had injuries to Kuzma, Zo Rondo.

All these teams are ****ing good. Apart from the two losses to Knicks and Cavs, who did we lose to that we should have beat exactly? It's a miracle that we beat OKC and Dallas on the road.

Most of those wins were against the likes of Miami, Phoenix, Cleveland, Atlanta, Sacramento, NO.. how many close games did we lose due to Lebron choking in the 4th quarter at the FT line?

A lot of that had to do with the schedule.

On another note... it all came at a huge price. Player development stalled. Everyone knew there were going to be trade rumors all season long. Everyone knew the coach would be under threat. Everyone knew this team was not going to be a contender. Etc.

10-15 more wins is not worth it.

After I had learned about the LeBron trade, I thought it would be boring basketball, no young player development 7th seed and 2nd round exit. Well... it's boring basketball... no young player development... and no team.

It's just a group of individuals plus LeBron James at this point.

I don't put any blame on LeBron. He is just his usual self. It's the Laker organization as a whole that screwed things up. Magic was a great player... and as far as I can tell he is a horrible person and an awful 'visionary'.

Why blame LeBron?

He didn't do anything unexpected. He was his usual self.

He put up his stats. Played his game. Played his off court games. More drama to come. He isn't someone else. He is being himself. That's him. Nothing extraordinary.

If you want to blame anyone.... blame Magic&co. They were supposed to know. Most NBA fans and even most Laker fans did.

He sure is. But it was a well-known fact for a long time. As great as he was as a player he is a fake human being and a dumb analyst and decision-maker. I can see why an owner wants Magic around for PR reasons... but him making decisions? Idiocy. (I don't like his character so I don't like him for PR either but at least that can be justified.)

They were the 4th seed with LeBron 35 games into the season. Mighty impressive. Obviously, the wheels off after LeBron's injury and that 6-12 stretch will likely cost them the postseason.

Ignore this circle jerk of Kobe fans (all "Laker fans" prior to this season :oldlol:). They'll never get over what LeBron did to their boy.
