A point is not a point, right? Kobe has the versatility. When he scored it ignited his teammates to do the same. But when Lebron scores, they just stand around.
Also teams don’t have to do any game planning for Lebron’s style of play. With Kobe, they would get so frustrated when he scored that they couldn’t reserve any energy to guard other players.

Kobe would score in a system and that encouraged growth for the likes of Pau Gasol, Derek Fisher, and Lamar Odom. Kobe was often the player that had to take the bail out shots. Lebron hold the ball and cherry picks his plays, increasing his efficiency, but stunting his teams growth.

Also when Kobe scores it was OH MY.. when Lebron scores it’s mosty just his size and so it’s not duplicatable by his teammates. Kobe injected DNA into his teammates and that duplicated his impact.

Great post, OP.

Kobe's abilities open the game up for his teammates.

More attention has to be paid to him.

Bran is an opportunistic scorer on fast breaks and pick n roll switches; that does little for the rest of his team.

Right. We gotta discuss this. Lebron doesn

It's well-known that lebron plays a version of harden-ball, which begs the question, why do people make excuses for his Finals record?.. :biggums:

Why is anyone shocked that lebron/harden-ball struggles on the championship level?.. :biggums:

I was shocked at how much Jordan ball struggled in the first round. It took Pippen to turn all of that around

Wade and Kyrie >= Pippen, yet lebron still has shitty Finals record..

Btw, MJ's 1st round struggles were in his first couple seasons, similar to lebron struggling his first couple seasons with an all-star center, before Hughes and Brown finally gave him enough help to make the playoffs

When Kobe scored, it meant something. It was in the flow of the offense and it rejuvenated his teammates.

When LeBron scores, his team is just glad he made it instead of kicking it out to them with 2 seconds left in the shot clock like he normally does.

Kobe plays system basketball, while LeBron plays stat padding cancer ball. It's really a shit look that everyone is tired of.

But I'm sure those who have never lived anywhere near miami, cleveland, or LA will justify LeCancer's style of play so that they can continue to live vicariously through those of us who watched him live as they refuse to acknowledge that 3/9 is shit.

When kobe scored, it means alot. Coz its based on skill and skill based scoring wont easily disappear in the clutch. And thats what the low IQ statnerds dont get. They think fastbreaks is as good as contested shots.

When Kobe scored more often than not it haplened in the regular season. Kobe without a doubt owns single game records for regular season games over lebron by far.

Kobe has a deeper arsenal. He also converts much less of his shots than lebron. So prettier but not as effective overall.

Lebron has the higher career scoring average and soon will pass Kobe the "scorer" in career points given health.

Lebron is the 1 scoring player in nba playoff history.

Lebron scorers much better in elimination game scenarios when the presssure is greatest.

Lebron had more 40 points finals games in one week than Kobe had in 7 appearances.

I'm vaguely aware that Kobe stans don't speak efficiency so we won't go there in this post but for those of you out there that do, you already know the deal.

Lastly isn't a shame when a guy who hung his hat his entire existence on scoring will soon be passed up by a guy who his stans don't feel can score well at all? That must suck and i understand your anger fellas. Maybe in time you can learn to deal with your feelings.:(

is a 90 on an easy subject better than 70 on a more difficult subject? Theres a reason why lebron is not as good as kobe in the clutch which eventually lead to him being 3/9 compared to 5/7 with no superteam.

This is what separates kobe stans from bron stans. We have the IQ to identify which subjects are harder/important. Which skills are more important to winning and which are less.
