Just watching those highlights, the man can just hijack the tempo and speed of any game and move it at the pace he wants. I don't think I've ever seen an other player "take over" in such a way.

Game 5 2010 NBA finals with Kobe's Lakers vs the Celtics. THAT was Kobe's take-over. Lebron's is completely different.

Cant be best of anything losing 6 times. How proud would any general be losing six wars?

lol ya'll running with the Floor General metaphor huh? I just mean in the war that is basketball, he just has command over his troops better than any other player I've seen.

You might be right on the strength of total control of the floor and flow, however it just feels dirty somehow saying this when Magic and Stockton exist. Maybe it's just the last bit of my kid nostalgia.

You need to watch a lot more basketball if you truly feel that way.

I mean A LOT MORE.

He's not even the best one playing today, let alone all time.

He's good at throwing his troops under the bus, for sure

Magic was better and 91' Finals MJ was better.. guys like 11' Dirk, Bird, Hakeem, Wilt, Kareem, Duncan all possessed equal or greater authority on the offensive end

And once an opponent gets their offense clicking and creeps above the low bar that is lebron-ball, lebron can't do shit to control pace.. We see it time and time again as his opponents win the last 3-4 games in dominating fashion - lebron isn't doing shit to control pace then is he?

It only happens in the Finals because lebron is in the East and doesn't face a good opponent until then - but based on the severity of the Finals blowouts, it's clear lebron didn't need to face to West's best to lose

The best floor generals don't make teammates and teams worse.

I think it's kind of a given that a great floor general makes teammates better.

A floor general wouldn't be down every year in a series at least 3-2. They should be able to win a title without having been down 3-2 in a series.

Lebron in my eyes has been better in the half-court than in the open court because he has great speed and accuracy on his passes to cutters and shooters.

True floor generals like Magic and Stockton and someone who deserves to be mentioned more, Isiah Thomas, were far more flexible.

They could play both equally well at an all-time great level. Then we could throw in Jason Kidd and Larry Bird and Lebron falls short of expectations.

"GOAT is debatable"

:lol :lol :lol :lol :lol

No. No it isn't. Top 5 is debatable. You've undercut any credibility you might have on his floor general qualities, by suggesting it is debatable whether LeBron is the greatest, when most people (here at least) have him outside the top 5, and no remotely intelligent person has him near MJ in term of greatness. In terms of unfulfilled physical talent, maybe.

LeBron has a very cancerous style of play that is based on pounding the ball and wasting the shot clock then kicking it out to a shooter who is not in rhythm and expecting it to be made with 2 seconds on the clock. No one wanted to play with him in LA and they all cucked him after dipping out of verbal agreements.

Top 2 floor general

Top 5 scorer

How is this guy not the GOAT?

I don't think the OP has ever seen a real floor general.

He's up there. He's made some all time great passes over the years. His passing highlight reel will be humongous by the time he's retired
