Warriors were organically built with drafted players, mid level free agents, and 0 max money stars.

something lebron could never do.

Organically built, yes. Reason why none of the players they drafted have yet to win a FMVP. They brought in, Iguodala (traded from Nuggets) who won them a ring then Kevin Durant (who was stole away from OKC) won them 2 more rings.

And stop comparing a franchise to a player.

I guess he really is the KING. Bigger than franchises

Imagine thinking a team with Klay Thompson as 2nd option and Draymond Green as 3rd option is a superteam. THAT's how transcendent Curry's offensive impact is.

If that's the case, what do you call a team with muthafkin Dwyane Wade as 2nd option and Bosh as 3rd option

3+ HOF caliber players + Iggy + elite role players = superteam it doesn't matter how they were built

Draymond had the highest +/- in NBA history that season

And Klay dropped 37 in a quarter plus multiple 50 point games the best without the ball scorer in history

Oh so NOW +/- matters.

ic ic....

Anyone calling the 2016 Warriors a superteam is just highkey calling Steph the most offensively transcendent and impactful player of all time it's that simple

I'm not denying it 16 Curry was the GOAT offensive regular season

Not a super team.

Not even a super good team. They lost to a total cupcake team in the finals. They are way way way better now and no where near a 73 win team. The 2016 Warriors were just a pretty good team. A pretty poor team compared to other teams that have made the finals.

Yh man a team that won 73 games and broke all kinds of records is just "pretty good"

They were a very good team because of chemistry and teamwork while also changing the game forever.

You can still have a super team even with the players on the team being home grown.

Agreed.

If the 2nd and 3rd options are better players than Klay Thompson and Draymond Green

Your right they weren't a super team. They didn't even win the finals. Having a great regular season dosnt make you a super team. Pre Durant warriors only have one chip and it was against a team missing there best players.

Warriors are a super team now but they were hardly a super team pre kd

2016 Cavs were 'organically' built as well

Irving drafted
TT drafted
Lebron drafted
Love (essentially drafted w/Wigging's)
Delly drafted

Frye, TT, Mo - picke dup on vet mins

Not quite sure what OP is crying about :confusedshrug:

Remind us how many West teams missing key players Steph had the opportunity to face in the post season :oldlol:

I bet if they won the finals this wouldn't even be a thread.

73-9 win team plus a ring?
Greatest of all time.

Only one problem. Lebron James

Let me know when Jordan does that.. oh wait.. he had an opportunity to do it and got bounced in the first round of the playoffs. :facepalm

klay and dray were a little bit better back then. Dray just hasnt really cared as much during the rs since durant was signed. klay's kept up his numbers but I think he was better in 16 and especially 15.

Curry deserves a lot of credit for carrying them however. One of the better RS's of all time.

They weren't a superteam, just a really good one. Similar to MJ's Bulls teams they didn't have three guys who could get 30 any given night till Durant signed.

I'd say mj's 2nd three peat bulls were definitely a superstar team because of there defence capabilities. They had 3 of the best defenders ever on one team. Ron Harper was a pretty good defender also.

It was basically just 3 Rio Olympians, FMVP Iggy off the bench and no namers

No wonder Barnes wanted nothing to do with being a full time screen setter and jetted immediatly afterwards, get Harrison some halp.

A Warrior fan bringing up injuries? Their run from 2015 through CP3 is unprecedented, off the top of my head at least a dozen starters have missed either some games or entire series against them during their 3 title runs, so y'all really don't get to use the injury excuse :lol

I have always said Warriors have been lucky with injuries, check my posts. He's saying they had the goat-tier championship because of injuries. 2011 is far and away the most incredible championship this decade. 16-1 is the most historic. Bron's is special because it's the first 3-1 comeback. 3rd best this decade, I'll give him that.

True or untrue, what does the latter have to do with anything and making or not making it the greatest championship?

Dubs fans had nothing to say about injuries or the well deserved suspension Green got during any part of the series until a day or two after game 7. People were tearing Ayesha apart on twitter for her 'srry i seen it live' tantrum, it was classic.

Everyone saw them skate around injured teams out West the past 2 seasons

Everyone saw the refs swallow their whistle vs OKC when Green should have been tossed multiple times

But the biggest, the entire world remember the year before when Kyrie and Love went down and Cavs still nearly pulled it off lol

It took Dubs fans 48hrs+ to process excuses because the hail of bullets they dodged prior were comedic in comparision. Whine about Zaza when Love is out with a concussion? Iggy's looking weathered because Lebron tuned that ass up all series 40mpg? Little boy threw his mouthpiece at a fan LOL. Their fans truly believed losing 3 straight in a season where GSW never even lost 2 games back to back was simply, unimaginable. But boy oh boy it happened and will always be the most memorable Finals in NBA history :lol

Ron Harper was a pretty good defender also. They didn't have three guys who could carry lesser teams though, only Jordan and maybe Scottie depending on how you feel about him. Rodman was just a "star" role player who complimented them perfectly.
