He requested a trade like three days after the deadline?

The Spanish power forward had asked for a change of air from those in charge of the Texas franchise, but the negotiations did not reach any avenue and Pau will end the season where it started, with the Spurs jersey.

Nikka quit b2b in 2011 and in 2012. Got manhandled by KG in 08. Kobe's magic only worked for two years, to turn him from a nobody in the league into a two-time champ.
Goes to show how great the mamba is.
As for the Spurs... damn.

Pop should buy him out. There's no need for a slow and down the hill unhappy diva in the locker room.

Thank god. At least Pop won't feel any tinge of obligation to keep him going forward then.
He has the mobility of Dirk now - can hardly move. At least Dirk has a deadly shot...Pau has some occasional nice passes but that is it. He is done. He also has zero trade value.
I'm hard pressed to think of a team that could use Gasol as anything other than a mentor.
Edit: Actually, sure, Lakers would be a decent fit

Yup Lakers should definitely pick him up.. add to the vaunted LA frontline. Lakers will probably have the tallest team in the NBA.

Buy him out so we can pair him with his brother, in Toronto on a Vet contract.

Did nothing that would equate to a superstar without Kobe.
But called a superstar because of agenda.
Another failure.

The word superstar gets thrown around way too much tbh.
Not everyone who is a star player is automatically a "superstar" as well. Superstars are guys like KD, Curry, Harden, etc. who are regularly in the MVP race and putting up MVP type numbers on a regular basis. Not a guy who's been selected to a few all star teams like Gasol or Butler for example.
