Assuming they don't play Indiana.
Here's why:
Teams will guard Giannis with a long, quick SF and then have a big man behind. That will effectively shut down Giannis. They will load up on the 3 point shooters and force them to create their own shot.
Two teams in particular can offer this defensively--Raptors (Kawhi, and big Marc down low) and Philadelphia (Simmons, and Embiid down low).
It will also depend of course on the final standings but watch this thread.

The only teams in the east that can stop giannis this year = Boston and 76ers.
Them losing will have nothing to do with giannis tho.Bledsoe will lose them the series.
One strategy is to put Horford on Giannis because he guards him well, understands angles, and giannis cant bully him with brute strength like he does everyone else who is quick enough to guard him.
Maybe Ben Simmons for us cause he's much faster than Giannis while also being around his same height and he's a good defender when he wants to be
Kawhi has no chance. Giannis is simply too big for him + the rule changes.Kawhi cant stop him.
Best bet on beating them is Bledsoe though....He shoots around 28-32% from 3 im guessing.People who shrink in the playoffs dont just randomly fix it they keep shrinking over and over its psychological + add on top of that the awful 3 point shooting....Bledsoe will be the reason they lose this year. Teams will shrink the floor on whatever side Bledsoe is on with rotations that will end up with Bledsoe being the one left wide open with the ball in his hands.....He will fail

Boston will beat Raptors
Raptors will beat 76ers
76ers will beat Bucks
Bucks will beat Boston
the luck of the draw will determine who comes out of the east...Styles make fights.Whoever doesnt run into the team that matches up to them perfectly will make it out.
We can delude ourselves but deep down all the fans of these teams know the list i have above is true.

You need to be a good half court player in the postseason, which Giannis is not. Teams will run sophisticated defenses and the same drop step and spin move won't work.
Bledsoe is garbage, though, you are right.

Philly starts 3 all stars, a borderline all star, and has JJ balling. The Celtics regardless of current record stack up talent wise with just about anyone short of the Warriors. The Raptors have 2 stars and just swapped Gasol into to an already great supporting cast. The Bucks losing in the ECF wouldnt be like...shocking. Being a 1 seed doesnt mean much with 2 months to go. Any of those 4 teams makes the finals nobody is gonna be just blown away.
The records barely matter anyway. The first seed only went to the finals once in the east in the last 5 years. Thats largely the Lebron effect but still....everything gets turned on its head in the playoffs.
If 2 celtics have a hot shooting series they could beat anyone but the Warriors. But the same can be said for the 76ers....and the Raptors...and the Bucks.
Its gonna be a fun playoff with Lebron out of the way. I doubt the Bucks feel like they are just gonna rampage through.

Has nothing to do with lebron and everything to do with the superteams lebron was a part of...he's out West now and has zero imprint on the conference, and likely won't even make the postseason.

If Giannis was white, you'd be all on his nuts.

No, I don't like his style of play at all and I don't think it will translate well into the postseason. In terms of black players I much prefer guys like Paul George and Embiid,
