back in the day fruity pebbles, coco puffs, reeses puffs, lucky charms, cinnamon toast crunch, cookie crisp, captain crunch, fruit loops, frosted flakes were all straight up a bowl of crack

Maybe but in this case he’s right the formula has drastically shifted over the years... the sugar content has substantially dropped in addition to other things. Froot Loops are no where near as good as they used to be.

Always had a big appetite as a kid but one thing I never cared for was sugary breakfast cereal. All that sugar on an empty stomach in the morning just gve me a stomach ache. Never understood people eating doughnuts for breakfast either.

Good thing they took the sugar out of the froot loops then. If you reenacted this behavior now, that would be humiliating for you. Even if no one else saw it.

i think an adult body can handle the sugar content a lot easier.

that being said i don't think that last sentence made any sense

how would i be humiliated without any witnesses

Most of this stuff never made it here, but I always prefered Honey Loops to anything else.

It isnt nostalgia. Most of the sweet cereals took a hit when parents started reading nutritional labels. They would put out a reduced sugar version...then just eliminate the full sugar version and pretend the lower sugar version is the original. The cereal our parents ate was even sweeter. Frosted flakes used to be giant hunks of sugar with a little crisp in the middle.

breakfast cereals are up there with soda or pop drinks as the most unhealthy food of all time.

few years ago used to crush a huge bowl of frosted flakes at 7 or 8am for breakfast and would kill it for the first two hours of the day, but by 11:00am I was passing out because my blood sugar was depleted.

now on a low-carb diet I can skip a meal or two no problem and still have energy because I'm not on a sugar roller coaster all day. feels good man.

What is lacking in quality is made up for in quantity. I remember when Lucky Charms for example only had 5 marshmallows in the shapes of pink hearts, yellow moons, orange stars, green clovers and blue diamonds. And before that, my parents only had 4 marshmallows. That was it, and the commercial would say each one. You took what you got and you liked it and you accepted it. You were just happy that there were marshmallows in that fvcker. No milk? Fine, you put water on that shit. Little entitled shits these days get like 8 different marshmallows. They don't know how good they have it. :pimp:

Melting down about "health concious people" because a bowl of cereal you havent had in years doesnt taste the same as before?
